Call of Duty: Mobile is a fast-paced handheld version of the widely popular first-person shooter franchise of the same name, and it features a ton of guns ranging from short range weapons to highly impactful snipers.

In this guide, we’ll be covering how you can get better at using a specific type of weapon: the shotgun!

Mastering Shotgun Complete Guide

This guide is mainly for those who play the battle royale mode of the game, as the techniques used in this guide take advantage of the mode’s third-person perspective.

First up, you will want to tweak your settings. Specifically, change the following settings accordingly:

  • Always Sprint – Set this to off, but turn the sensitivity to 100.
  • Display Left Fire Button – Turn this setting on to help with your actual shooting.
  • Third Person Sensitivity – Set this to your personal preference as you’re practicing the drills in the next section of this guide.

Next up, you have to start practicing how to aim while sliding. To do this, find any stationary object and start sliding left and right while keeping your crosshair on top of it, or at least as close as you can get.

Once you start getting more familiar with this movement, practice shooting the object at the end of each slide. This will be your bread and butter as a shotgun main, so make sure you’re hitting your shots!

Eventually, you should start adding stationary bots and start practicing the same movement on them. To spice things up a bit, try jumping at the end of the slide before shooting your targets.

If you want, you can also try to aim down sights prior to shooting. This will increase your accuracy, though it will require a lot of muscle memory to get used to this technique.

Finally, once you feel that you’re ready to simulate actual players, change the bot settings so that they start moving. Now, practice everything you have learned against these moving targets.

After a while, you will hopefully become better at snap aiming while sliding and jumping around with a shotgun, even against enemies that are moving around.

And that’s pretty much all you need to know in order to get better at using the shotgun in Call of Duty: Mobile, particularly in the battle royale game mode.

Now, get out there and start dominating enemy squads! If you’re looking to improve your aim in general, make sure to check out our guide on that as well.
