These are very unique and interesting weapons to use in Valheim. It is a very good starting gear that you can use to get stronger and much better in a very quick time. Let’s see how to get them.
How To Get Abyssal Harpoon & Abyssal Razor – Valheim
First of all, you will need to know about the Leviathans. They are living island-type creatures that are randomly found throughout the Ocean biome. There is a 10% chance of 1 spawning in a 64×64 meter zone.
On them, you will find the Abyssal Barnacles, and from these, you can farm the crafting materials required for making these weapons – the Chiten.
There are 21 Barnacles on each Leviathan. Each one of them will give you 3-4 Chiten. You need to have a Pickaxe to be able to get them. Be careful not to get caught by the Submersion Event which might drown you.
Abyssal Razor
This is the 3rd best knife in the game(outperformed by the Silver and Black Metal Knife). It can be crafted even before defeating the second boss.
Its primary attack is a 3 hit attack combo with the last one dealing double damage. The secondary attack is a leap attack with 3x damage. It is very used for its 6x sneak damage when hit on NPCs from behind.
Needed materials:
- 4 Fine Wood
- 20 Chitin + 60 Chitin for getting it fully upgraded.
- 2 Leather Scraps
Abyssal Razor
This can be used as a weapon but does little to no damage. It is mostly used as a tool. Examples of how to be best used:
- Relocate creatures – these can be anything from enemy mobs to friendly farm animals
- Serpent Fishing – when you spot a Serpent in the ocean, pull it to the ground. Keep pulling it as far away from the water as possible, so when you kill it, all the materials are gonna be on the surface and not in the depths of the ocean
- Interacting with a ship’s rudder will not break the leash
This harpoon is also crucial for getting Serpent Trophies as well as the rare crafting material – Serpent Scales.
Needed materials:
- 8 Fine Wood
- 30 Chitin
- 3 Leather Scraps
I hope this helped out a bit. Have fun using them!
