AUT: How To Obtain New Chrono Warden & Showcase in Update 3.0

The holiday season has convinced the AUT community to convince the devs to give us something to work for, and they have, which is the new Update 3.0.

Now, we have a new ability to get, and it’s called the Chrono Warden. An ability that has something to do with time is sure to be a blast to make use of.

Good news is that no Robux is needed to get the ability, bad news is that it’s fairly new so information regarding materials is scarce.

How To Obtain New Chrono Warden

Chrono Warden is a craftable ability you can make on your own in the Menu. Here’s what you’ll need:

3x Warden Shards
1x Mysterious Fragment

You can obtain Warden Shards by pulling for them from the loot pool in the center of town. Just interact with the Ability Banner and try your luck.

Warden shards are a Mythic item, so you don’t have to for an actual Warden to appear on the banner. Another option would be to open chests scattered around the map.

These loot boxes have a chance of giving you the Warden Shards you need.

Getting the Mysterious Fragment is as easy as beating up random thugs out on the street. Just roam around the map, find a group of hooligans, and break their legs for existing.

The Mysterious Fragment will drop from their bodies at random, so you’ll have a bit of street sweeping to do.

Ability Showcase

One of the basic attacks you can do with the Chrono Warden is the Rush Attack. It’s a normal punch you do with your M1 that does a decent amount of damage. It also has a chance of stunning your opponent.

Another skill is two different sets of Chrono Canons. You have the first one where you just let out a short beam that sends your opponent flying backwards.

The second one when charged for a couple of seconds, will send an even bigger ball of energy that will trap your opponent inside before exploding. It also sends them flying backwards.

The third variant of Chrono Canon will encase your opponent in a dome that you can walk inside of. While inside the dome, your opponent will be stunned, leaving them open for your next attack.

Up next is Chronal Infusion. Do this by winding up a punch to inflict Chronosyntax on your opponent. That effect will teleport your target to where he once was after a brief delay.

Next is Time Anchor. Here you manifest a manifest a warp in reality that will save your last position. If you ever want to retreat, you can teleport back to the saved position by using the move again.

You can also use Collapse Time Anchor once you plop the warp down and have it explode instead.

Another cool ability is Fracture. By using the sill, you’ll be able to cast spikes and impale anyone that’s in front of you.

They also suffer the Decay debuff when hit. What the debuff does is it drains 10% of the target’s maximum health in three seconds.

Stopping enemies and projectiles from coming into contact with you is also possible with the Halt skill.

It summons a shield that will temporarily stop anything that’s in front, giving you enough time to move out of the way.

What you can do to your opponent while they’re frozen or stunned is send in a Punch Barrage. It deals a good amount of damage to anyone who’s unfortunate enough to take the full brunt.

If you don’t feel like using your fists, you can change it up with Pummel instead. It does the same thing; the only difference is you perform kicks instead punches.

Playtime’s Over is a skill where you stop everything that moves in a wide area after hurling a giant grandfather clock into the ground. Anybody else left standing is as good as dead.

You have a slightly weaker version of this move with Tremor. What it does is it lets you slam the ground and cause everyone nearby to ragdoll.

There’s also Temporal Temper. Again, you plant a pulsing trap on the ground, if anyone is caught by the pulse, they end up trapped.

If they try to leave, time will reset itself and they’ll be transported to their last known location.

A good move to make use of if your opponent is sloppy would be Temporal Riposte. It’s a counter move that deals a lot of damage if you can time it right.

Other Combinations

Here’s a quick tip: Use the Fast Forward skill and quickly follow up with Temporal Onslaught. When done correctly you’ll give your opponent a proper beatdown.

You’ll know that you’ve executed the skill properly if a cinematic cutscene plays in the middle of gameplay. Do note that after one use of your left mouse button, the effect of Fast Forward will stop.

Now that you know about Chronosyntax, we’ll let you know even further about Continuum rapture. It’s a passive that’s best used on a target that’s suffering from Decay or again, Chronosyntax. Once you use the skill, your opponent will implode.

There’s also Temporal Resurrection, which is another passive skill. It requires a time anchor to be placed down.

If you take lethal damage while close to your time anchor, you get revived immediately instead of just dying. It only works once though.
