Soul Knight Prequel provides players with a whole host of items that they can mix and match to form their ideal warrior.

You have weapons, classes, skills and Fatebounds which will help you form a build suitable for clearing out enemies. With Fatebounds playing such a big role in the game, you will want to get the best one possible.

Luckily for you, you can get the best Fatebounds in more than one way. In this guide, we will show you both of them. After that, you can decide which method is the best one for you – depending on various factors. Let’s dive in!

How To Get Best Fatebound

There are two main ways in which you can get Fatebounds: RNG based and Boss Gear.

  • We recommend the first one if you are just starting out, since you will not have faced many bosses.
  • On the other hand, the second one is ideal if you are further in the game, saving you a lot of time too.

Method #1 – RNG Based

Starting off, you can get the Best Fatebound for yourself by just trying out your luck. The 996 Combini Shop that you visit for any items you need will typically have items with a bunch of Fatebounds.

However, the Shop sells items at Random, so if you’re looking for a specific Fatebound, then you’ll find this method very unreliable.

Instead, if you’re looking for a specific Fatebound, you will need to go to the World Map. Here, you should browse through each location.

For each location, you will see some Fatebounds listed out on the right. Each location will have its own list of Fatebounds and you can search for which one you want.

Once you find the Fatebound in the list that you want, go to the location.

For example, imagine you want the Backlash Fatebound on an item. In that case, you will need to visit the Tower of Aeonia.

Once you spawn in, you want to rush through the map until you come upon a vending machine. In our case, we will be rushing to Area 3 as this is where the Vending Machine appears.

When you access the Vending Machine, you will see that the items have Fatebounds that match the list you saw in the World Map.

As you can see, we were able to find the Backlash Fatebound items we were looking for. However, in some cases, you may not find the item that you are looking for. In that case, you will need to return to Town and repeat the steps outlined.

The items in the Vending Machine will reset, and you will be able to try your luck again to see if there are better Fatebound items for you.

However, this method relies heavily on RNG, which can make it frustrating and time-consuming. In that case, you can try the next method, once you are at a higher level.

Method #2 – Boss Gear Crafting & Upgrading

If you want the Best Fatebound Gear in the most reliable way, then using Boss Gear is the better way. As you progress through the game, you will come across Bosses.

You can even farm these Bosses, and they will drop all sorts of items. Sometimes, they can drop Cards, which provides you with Blueprints for Boss Gear like the following:

You can craft this Gear with blueprints at the Craftsmith NPC.

If you are lucky, they may even drop the item itself. In this way, you can avoid the hassle of having to craft Boss Gear. So, make sure you have farmed as many Bosses, so you can get their items or Cards.

Before you proceed with Crafting, you will need one crucial resource, which is Lydite Ore. You can get Lydite in three ways:

  • As drops from enemies in Elite Dungeons.
  • As drops from enemies in Valkyrie Floors.
  • By opening Sapphire Key Chests.

Once you have enough Lydite, you can go to the Craftsmith or Blacksmith NPC.

Here, you will be able to see all the Boss Gear you have, and which ones you can craft courtesy of the Boss Cards you farmed.

If you have no Boss Gear, we suggest crafting (or synthesizing) whichever one you are interested in.

Crafting is one of the two options that appears on the left side of the menu. When crafting Boss Gear, keep in mind that there will be money requirements. So, make sure that you have enough money when doing so.

When you are about to confirm and Synthesize the gear, you can even see what Fatebound it will come equipped with.

After that, you will need to upgrade the crafted item (unless you already have a Boss item). You can do this by selecting the other option on the left side of the menu, which takes you to the Blacksmith. After that, put the intended Boss Gear into the small slot for upgrading.

Since you have Lydite, you can use it to upgrade the Boss Gear to Tier M. Doing so will enhance the Gear and also add another Fatebound to it, making it even stronger.

As a result, your already strong Boss Gear will end up becoming better.

You can repeat these steps for the same type of Boss Gear. In this way, the additional Fatebound you get after upgrading will be different, and you can try to get the Fatebound you want specifically.

That’s everything you need to know about getting the best Fatebound in Soul Knight Prequel. We have looked at multiple ways.

You can go for either of them depending on your needs, and how advanced you are in the game.

We suggest going for the second option as the Boss Gear can be incredibly powerful, especially when upgraded to Tier M.
