In Anime World Tower Defense (AWTD), you will obtain many Anime characters and use them to form a team. To win your in-game matches, you will need to coordinate all characters and utilize all their abilities to maximize damage and protect your base.
Before you get started, it is important that you understand all the Mechanics & Difficulties in the game. Knowing all the basics will increase your chances of winning many different gamemodes. In this guide, we will provide you with the information and tips you need for those in-game features.
All Mechanics & Difficulties Guide
Difficulties
When you go to the in-game portal, you will be able to select from a variety of Gamemodes. After that, you can select the Difficulties. There are currently four difficulties that you can play:
- Normal: This is the most basic difficulty to help you learn more about a certain gamemode as a beginner.
- Insane: This is a more difficult gamemode with x3 Gold, EXP, and Item Drop Chances. If you are looking to progress a little faster, play this difficulty.
- Challenger: If you win the Challenger difficulty, you will earn +1 Item Drop for the stage. Keep in mind that you can only use Category Buffed units for the Challenger Mode.
In the image down below, you can see that the Category Buff is Pirate. This means that you can only use characters in the Pirate category.
Apart from that, you can also use the Support Characters that do not have the modifier on them or limit break. So, consider using them along the Category Buffed Characters.
If you win Challenger even once, you will receive an extra drop if you play on the Insane Difficulty. This means that instead of 3, you will now get 4 item drops. You will only need to complete the Challenger Difficulty once.
Story Mode
The next feature you want to know is the Story Mode. When you complete the Story Mode Chapters, you will be able to unlock new Raids.
Next to each chapter, you will see the Select and the Skip Buttons. It is not recommended for you to Skip unless you are very strong.
Once you do the Skip challenge, you will be put in a much more difficult gamemode. The Skip button is for the players that are way stronger than the Story, so only use it if you think you are strong enough.
Legend Stages
Legend Stages are also called Infinites by many players in the game. Upon completing each map, you will have a percentage chance of obtaining Miracle Materials. These materials are items that can increase the power of your characters.
The Gamemode also has three different difficulties, which are Normal, Insane, and Challenger.
Abyss Challenge
The Abyss Dungeon is a late-game feature that lets strong players complete for much better rewards. If you are a new player, it is best to avoid playing the gamemode until you are strong enough.
Event Stage
The Event Stages are events that happen every once in a while. These time-limited challenges will give you rewards and they all have different chances of dropping. The more you play in these gamemodes, the more likely that you will receive the rare items.
Character Feeding
As your Characters fight and use abilities in matches, they will lose stamina. In the image down below, you will be able to see the stamina that we have marked for you.
Once the stamina goes down, you will need to feed your character with food. You can buy Food by using the Cash items.
To feed your characters, you can select the Feed All button or Press e whenever you are looking at the stats of a character.
Remember to look at the bottom right of your screen since there will be the food merchant that arrives. To keep your inventory full of food, it is best to always buy Food frequently.
There will be options for you to buy 10, 50, or 250 Foods. All three options will cost you the same amount of Cash per Food item (50 Cash each), so you can just go with any option that you want.
When your character’s stamina runs out, they will stop attacking and using abilities. However, the case is a little bit different for Summoner units.
The Summoner units will stop attacking and using their abilities like the other units. The difference is that their summons will continue attacking.
