The Massive style in Unusual Force 4 is a powerful style and can be very deadly if learned right. That’s what this guide is about. We’re going to talk about the skills and how to make the best of the moveset. It also falls under the pricier side of the available styles, so you want to make your purchase worth it!

Massive Style Guide

The Massive style is a beginner-friendly, heavy-hitting style, especially when you land that final M1 hit. It is great for those who’d just started playing the game and people who want to feel satisfaction from landing their hits. But it’s also easily punishable if you’re not careful and when facing veterans in Unusual Force 4!

Let’s start with summarizing what you get with the Massive style:

  • High HP
  • Great damage
  • Average combo speed
  • Short range
  • Slow block

Massive style as 4 M1s combo, 2 Offensive skills, 1 Heat Action, and 1 Quick Step. It is one of the slower styles with possibly Pugilist, the slowest style in Unusual Force 4, to be the only one under it.

Unusual Force 4 Massive M1 combo and First Skill for

It’s arguably not the best style, but if you’re just starting out, Massive is perfect to learn the basic ropes in Unusual Force 4!

Massive Style Skills & How to Use Them

This style has 3 skills that you can use and here’s what they do:

  • First Skill, Overhead Fist Bump (1 bar): Similar to the kick from Rusher, you wind-up and swing your fist forward which breaks guard. You can use it after blocking and it’s a great combo ender for extra damage.
  • Second Skill, Massive Tornado (2 bars): Two hits that goes through blocks. This can be a pretty versatile skill as you can change the direction by moving your camera when using the skill for both hits. Depending on what your opponent does, it can also be used to extend combo.
  • Third Skill, Massive Essence: Heavenly Uppercut (3 bars): Initiates a cutscene where you throw your enemy up in the air and then uppercut them. This gives you iframes and can be cancelled!

Tips & Tricks on Using Massive Style

Because of how heavy-hitting each hit is with the Massive style, it also has a low skill ceiling. Massive is easily punishable if you don’t know how cancel your M1 combo. Whether that’s by dashing out or using the block function.

  • Learn how to cancel your M1 combo! Unlike Rusher and Step, you will have a hard time dealing with these styles and veterans if you don’t stop when you need to. Your 4th M1 is especially prone to getting you punished.
  • Play semi-defensive, especially against opponents who are very familiar with your combo. Use your skills for the offensive by dashing in as they lunges you forward, or in any direction your camera is facing.
  • While this applies to other styles too, it’s particularly important for slower ones like Massive. Shake up your pattern every now and then. Due to your slow speed, the same pattern might not work the 2nd time against the same players.
  • You deal more damage and survive more hit than most, so learn other styles with Massive! Massive is tanky with average speed, making this the perfect style to practice against other styles before switching.
