In the past, Roblox has introduced special egg hunt events wherein players had to go into certain experiences to search for hidden eggs. This used to be an annual thing that ran from 2008 up until 2020, and it has since been discontinued.
However, recent leaks and official teasers have hinted towards the return of the hunt event in 2024. While nothing has been completely revealed outside of a handful of vague teasers, players believe that the egg hunt is finally making a comeback. Here is everything we know about it so far!
The Hunt: Release Date & Info
As of writing this, the official Roblox account on X (formerly known as Twitter) posted an ominous teaser image showing the date March 15, 2024.
Although they didn’t say anything else, players are quick to assume that this might be the return of the egg hunt event, or something similar, due to the time in which it is coming out.
Additional Leaks (Unconfirmed)
Again, nothing has been officially confirmed yet except for the potential start date of whatever event it is going to be. However, there have been several leaks pointing towards possible event reward items.
People have managed to dig up certain assets that have the word “hunt” in their file names, and they include the following accessories and objects (all colored blue, just like the teaser image above):
- A lava lamp
- A pair of wings
- Two swords
- A ski mask
- A hood
- Blue hair
- A samurai mask
- A hood and cloak combination
As of writing this, several other leaks have also come out, such as the addition of a possible leaderboard that may show top hunters in the event. There is also a podium asset that has been uncovered recently.
The icons and names showing participating games was also leaked, though we will hold off on listing those down as they are not officially confirmed and may be incorrect. It does include some popular titles that you probably already play, however.
Other than that, cryptic messages and uploaded content by admin accounts have also been the subject of speculation by the community. These include placeholder objects and test badges.
