Norse Mythology seems to be making a comeback these days. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Hellblade, Senua’s Sacrifice, Jotun, God of War (2018), Valheim, and now Ark with the new Fjordur DLC. In the DLC, you can even fight some well-known monsters in Norse Mythology. One of those, more specifically two of those are Hati and Skoll, two wolves who chase the Sun and Moon. Once they do catch their prey, then Ragnarok comes. You can battle these two legendary beasts and win if you follow this Solo Hati & Skoll World Boss guide.
Solo Hati & Skoll World Boss Guide – ARK Fjordur
There’s a lot of preparation needed in order to fight a World Boss, even more if you plan to do it solo. While World Bosses are meant to be taken down with other players, some people are crazy enough to do it by themselves. If you’re here, that means you’re crazy enough to do so.
Before you get to the fighting part, you need to have an abundance of Runestones. These stones are used to summon the World Bosses, and you will need at least 30 of these in order to summon Hati and Skoll.
Now Hati and Skoll aren’t found in Midgard, the world you start in. They’re found in Asgard. To get to Asgard, you will need to find a teleporter that will take you there. Luckily, you won’t have to search much. The exact coordinates are 40.6, 57.4.
The entrance to the teleporter looks like this.
Venture inside the cave and you will find the teleporter room with three places you can go to. The one you are looking for is the center teleporter for Asgard.
Approach the terminal in front of the teleporter and use this item.
Once you are teleported to Asgard, you will then have to locate the terminal that summons Hati and Skoll. At the terminal you appear on, you should spot a stone bridge. Go under the bridge and straight until you see a large area with pillars all over the area.
How to Beat Hati & Skoll World Boss Solo in ARK Fjordur
The pillars surrounding the area serve as a sort of boundary for the World Boss. If you stray too far from the pillars, that’s fine. However, if the bosses exit the boundaries, they will respawn at the terminal with full health. So be careful when fighting them and make sure they don’t get near the boundaries.
A quick tip when fighting Hati and Skoll is to focus on Skoll. Skoll has the least amount of health between the two, but has more attack damage. The opposite can be said for Hati, with more health but less attack damage. Target and kill Skoll first in order to get rid of the heavy attacker among the two. Once Skoll is dealt with, you can then move on to Hati.
There are two strategies to take down Hati and Skoll, and both require tamed animals. One being the Giganotosaurus strategy, and the Shadowmane strategy. The Giga strategy is simple. You just hop on the Giga and start attacking when Hati and Skoll come in.
The Shadowmane strategy can take a while to prepare compared to a Giga, but it is also viable to use this strategy. You can sit on the side and watch them take down Hati and Skoll.
