Sometimes, when going through a game for the first time, especially if it’s an early-access game, you’ll miss some info. Maybe you missed a message in the tutorial, or you forgot one mechanic in the game. Sometimes the game just doesn’t tell you what to do even.
One of the newest early-access games on Steam right now is Lightyear Frontier, a game where you pilot a mech and build stuff. It’s your standard survival crafting game with base building but with a mech! You can even go third person with it, but how do you go back to first?
In this guide, we’ll show you how you can go back to First Person while riding the mech. Now, let’s see what we’ll need to do to get our camera back to a proper, more immersive view!
How To Go Back To First Person In The Mech?
In Lightyear Frontier you go drive around a mech collecting resources around the planet and building bases. It’s a farming simulator but you’ll be on a mech most of the time and it’s a unique concept. While on the mech you can go to Third Person to see more of the world and the thing you’re riding.
But how do you go back to the First Person? Well, to do that you’ll want to press the middle mouse button. If you’re using a controller then to change the view you’ll need to press the down button on the D-pad. This button will toggle between the third and first person.
I prefer to stay in the first person when playing mech games but sometimes you need to go to the third person. Sometimes the bigger FOV from a third person can help you scope out the area, or just get a better view.
