F1 22: Find Correct AI Difficulty Guide

Don’t get too cocky. They may be AI, but they’re good AI.

F1 22: Find Correct AI Difficulty Guide

The F1 series isn’t like Need for Speed or Forza. F1 is a professional racing game where your opponents aren’t just street racers with customized 1994 Toyota Supra’s. No, your opponents are professional drivers who trained themselves for years to race F1 cars. Even the AI can be quite a challenge for those who have been playing the series for years. Finding the right AI difficulty is essential, especially for newbies to the game.

Find Correct AI Difficulty Guide – F1 22

EA and Codemasters announce F1 22 release date and brand-new game additions – including F1 Life | Formula 1®

Setting the correct AI difficulty isn’t actually all that bad, and it will only take about 5 minutes tops. What you need to do is just go to Solo and select Grand Prix.

From there, you should see a screen where you can select whichever car you want. Pick whatever car you want and press Triangle on PlayStation or Y on Xbox to toggle Equal Performance. What this basically means is that your car will perform on the same level as the AI, regardless of whatever team you pick.

If you don’t toggle Equal Performance, what happens is that the team you choose will perform at a normal rate, so choosing a team that performs poorly will obviously make you perform poorly. With Equal Performance however, your team, no matter how low in performance they are, will perform just as good as the best teams in the game.

After you’re done with toggling Equal Performance, select your driver and continue one. Go to Weekend Structure and select the One-Shot for Qualifying Format.

Afterwards, head to Weather and Time of Day. Select Clear (Dry) under Quick Weather.

In Simulation Settings, select your AI difficulty to what you are comfortable with. If you’re confident in your abilities, select 80. If you’re new to the game and are not sure of what you’re doing, select 30. However, you can select whatever difficulty you want, as long as you’re sure your skill level matches the AI Difficulty.

Make sure as well that the Race Style is set to Expert for maximum immersion, as well as this being the ideal style to fully capture what your skill level is in F1 22.

Lastly is Corner Cutting Stringency. This is by default on Regular, but make sure it is.
