Cuphead bosses can prove to be a challenge, especially if you cannot damage the boss directly. A lot of the bosses in Cuphead will require you to damage the boss in a unique way. This Rook Boss Fight Guide will show you how to defeat the Rook in the Delicious Last Course DLC.
Rook Boss Guide – Cuphead the Delicious Last Course
Some players may panic when they cannot damage the boss directly in Cuphead. The Rook boss fight is a unique boss that will require you to use the move set of the boss itself against him. The boss looks like the Rook chess piece who is sharpening an ax.
It appears that the Rook is the executioner himself, and when you start the boss fight, skulls and heads will fly out of the ax. You want to hit the pink heads and bring it back to him to damage him. It may take two hits for it to bounce back to him.
Avoid the skulls that come out of the ax. When you get to the middle of the fight, sparks will also fly out of the ax from below, and you need to avoid them as well. The key here is to time your jumps while aiming to hit the pink yellow heads back to him.
The heads will progressively go out faster as well, giving you more chance to knock him out.
