Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has finally launched after its wildly successful crowdfunding campaign a long while ago, and players are flocking to check out how good it is. With that said, it may come as a shock to some of you when the game opens in Japanese, so if this happened to you, here is a quick guide on how to switch the language to English!

How to Change Language

While it may be quite funny to see that the JRPG starts the game in the developer’s native language (the “J” stands for Japanese, after all), this will be borderline unplayable if you can’t read it.

From the main menu, just select the second option. This will open up the settings menu, which shows you the gameplay settings by default as long as you don’t hover to anything else.

Just click on over to the first menu and change the very first setting. This will switch your display language over to English. And voila! You can now understand everything that’s written on the screen!

Feel free to change the voice language to Japanese while you’re at it if you want the full “authentic” JRPG anime-ish experience. Anyways, while you’re here, maybe consider checking out our guide on how to recruit Jorhan in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes as well!
