How to Recruit Hakugin
The secret to recruiting Hakugin is to bring along Mio with you. Mio is a character that you most likely possess early in the game, so as long as you have her in your party, Hakugin will be excited to join your party!

You can’t simply have her in your ranks, you have to add her to your party because a dialogue will trigger ensuing her appearance.
To find Hakugin, enter Daphan Village and reach the end of the road on your first right turn. To change your party members, there’s an inn in the village on the second right turn from the entrance.
