When it comes to quests some are easy and simple to do while some have a lot of steps. This can be a bit of a problem if you get lost in the middle of the quest. Maybe you stopped playing while in the middle of one, or you simply forgot!
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, there is the quest “A Bit of Help From Your Friends” and it’s one with a lot of steps. So to not get lost you’ll need a proper guide for it so that you don’t miss anything!
In this guide, we’ll show you how you can complete the quest from start to finish. We’ll go through what you’ll need to do and who to talk to so let’s see what we’ll need to do!
A Bit of Help From Your Friends Quest Guide
The “A bit of help from your friends” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley is one of the tougher quests in the game. That’s because you’ll need to do 3 different puzzles to complete it. Luckily, each puzzle is simple and is close to each other so try and finish this quest!
SIDE NOTE: There are multiple quests you’ll need to do before doing this one. Here’s a guide on how to complete the All The Right Notes quest if you haven’t finished it already!
Here are the steps we’ll be taking to complete this quest in the game:
- Talk to the NPCs around the Sunken Temple.
- Get Ancient Power Cells and Power up the Terminal.
- Clear the rocks on the Pedestal and place the Shiny LeFou.
- Complete the Musical Note puzzle.
- Stand on the last Pressure Plate.
- Jump into the Trap Door to finish the quest!

Detailed Walkthrough
At the start of the quest, you’ll need to talk to the team inside the Ancient Ruins. Go into the Sunken Ruins and talk to EVE, Gaston, and Rapunzel. Each one of them will have their part of the quest you’ll need to complete.
Restoring Power
The first one we’ll tackle is EVE and when you talk to her, she’ll task you with restoring the power in the area. To do that, you’ll need to look for these Ancient Power coils stuck in the rubble as shown below.
Use your pickaxe and look for piles of rubble with the blue power coils sticking out of it. When you clear the rubble, pick up the power cell. They’re scattered all around the ruins and not just where EVE is.
There are 3 Power coils in total and behind EVE are 3 sockets you can place the Ancient Power Coils in. Once you’ve inserted all 3 of them, you’ll need to talk to EVE to continue.
The last step of this part of the quest is to step on the pedestal behind the console. Step on it and it should power to Ancient Computer Console! After that, talk to EVE to finish this part of the quest.
Clear The Pedestal
For the next character, we have Gaston and when you talk to him he’ll give you an upgrade to your pickaxe. You’ll then need to use it to clear the rubble on the Pedestal and around the area of it. Afterward, you’ll need to talk to him.
The next step is to figure out where to place the Shiny LeFou item. To do that, go to the right of where Gaston is facing and follow the line from the Pedestal to a smaller one. Transfer the Shiny LeFou there.
Then, on the opposite side of the room, you’ll need to stand on the Pedestal there. This will finish this part of the quest!

Note Puzzle
The last part of the quest is a puzzle and to do that, you’ll need to talk to Rapunzel. Once you’ve done that, start breaking the rocks around the 3 Notes Puzzle area. In one of them, you’ll find a piece of paper that you can use as a hint for the puzzle.
You’ll need to interact with the pedestals below each note and match the notes on the paper to the puzzle. The first note should be on the first line, the second one in the middle of the 2nd and 3rd, and finally the last one on the 2nd.
Once you’ve set all the notes, you’ll then need to go pedestal to the left of Rapunzel and step on it to complete this part!
Finishing The Quest
Once you’ve done all of the puzzles with each of the characters, you’ll then need to activate the last pressure plate. It’s the one in the center of the ruins near the obvious trap door. Step on it and the trap door will open. Jump down the hole and walk down the path a bit to complete the quest and start the next one!
