Genshin Impact Bake-Danuki Wanderlust Part 1 Guide

The Pudding Isle in Genshin Impact is jam-packed full of puzzles and places to explore. You would think that this is the only thing this place has, since it’s a lot! Acutally, there are also a lot of quests here as well, including ones where you help cute little Tanukis. Let’s take a look at how to complete Bake-Danuki Wanderlust Part 1.

Bake-Danuki Wanderlust Part 1 Guide In Genshin Impact

First off, you need to set up the bonsai rocks. Go to the small island to the northwest of Pudding Isle and you should see a small board with the rocks on it. For this quest, we’ll need it to be set up with Hoverlight Rocks on both left and right.

Once you’ve done that you should go to the waypoint on top of the Pudding Isle. There you should see on your minimap that there’s a blue exclamation point to the southwest. Drop down to there and you’ll see the first character and quest giver: Mamesuke.

You’ll need your Elemental Sight for this one. Climb back up and look for this tree stump that has a floating leaf on it.

That’s your first clue. Head back to Mamesuke and report your findings. Mamesuke will then move to the small island with the bonsai, go there and rearrange the rocks again. Now we need Hoverlight Rocks: Left and Leisurely Rocks: Right.

How to Complete Bake-Danuki Wanderlust Part 1 In Genshin Impact

Teleport back to Pudding Isle and go Southwest, there you should see a group of enemies, they have our Tanuki so feel free to remove them from existence.

That’s Shibasuke, talk to that little Tanuki and it’ll teleport back to the small island.

Just look at them, sitting cute like that. Now stop admiring the Tanukis because the quest is not done yet. Back to the bonsai rocks, you need to change them both to Leisurely Rocks.

After doing that the Tanukis will teleport to the isle, so you should too. Their position is marked in the minimap and they’ll be on the northern shoreline. It’s hard to miss them because in front of them are 4 Sunsettia.

Now follow them to the northwestern part of the island where you’ll see a flaming flower. A small cinematic will play there as well.

Defeat the enemies and go back to the bonsai rocks island. Now you need to rearrange the rocks to both Unyielding.

Same story, go back to the Isle and look for the Tanukis. They should be near 3 circular pressure plates like the one on the image below:

The Tanukis will help you with one pressure plate but you’ll have to deal with the other two. Sadly, you cannot throw Paimon into the other pressure plate because she’s light. That’s why she can fly around. One of the Tanukis will turn into a rock, so not to be outdone by the Tanukis, place a bigger rock to show dominance.

And then stand on the last pressure plate. Once done a chest will appear and the Tanukis will teleport somewhere else in the island. Open the chest, grab your loot and go to the Tanukis because they’re being attacked by an even bigger stone: A Ruin Guard

Defeat the enemy you’ve done the quest! The first quest in the event chain! Good Luck!
