AOT Revolution: How To Solo Aberrant Guide

This is the hardest challenge any Scout has ever faced…

Aberrant is the highest difficulty mode in AOT Revolution, with the large and ferocious hordes of Titans making it particularly brutal for solo players. Titans in this mode are fast and their large groups makes it easy for them to overwhelm you. You need to either play extremely carefully or have a very specific setup to make things easy. In this guide, we’ll tell you what the optimal setup is and give you other tips you can use to even things out!

How To Complete Aberrant Missions | Solo Guide

Abberant Difficulty Shiganshina

Frankly speaking, completing missions in Aberrant difficulty is going to require a lot of “cheesing”. You won’t be fighting fair, because the Titans themselves aren’t going to play fair, either! The two main abilities you want for this are Conquer and Titan Shift.

Conquer Ability

Conquer is a Family Skill that’s exclusive to the Reiss Family. It’s a Legendary-tier Family, though, so it only has a 0.05% chance of appearing when changing your character’s family. It’s not entirely necessary, but it’s a huge help! Having this skill will allow you to stun all Pure Titans around you for 5 seconds.

Titan Shift

As for Titan Shift, we have a guide on how to unlock the Titan Shift. Do keep in mind, though, that not all Families have access to it. For example, the Shiki Family is currently unable to use it, although that’s planned to change. However, Titan Shift is basically mandatory if you want to solo Aberrant mode with ease!

Sadly, Titan Shift itself is locked behind the Attack Serum, which is a rare drop from Aberrant Mode. We recommend playing the mode with friends until you unlock the ability to Titan Shift.

Using the Great Wall in Shigashima

If you do happen to have both Conquer and Titan Shift, the overall strategy for soloing Aberrant is simple.

Attacking Stunned Titans

You simply need to seek out an elevated safe position, such as the Great Wall in Shigashima. Then, bait the Titans into getting close and drop down on them. Use Conquer while they’re close to stun them, then attack them to fill up your Awakening gauge.

Destroying enemy titans as the Attack Titan

Once you’ve got enough Awakening, use Titan Shift to become the Attack Titan. You now just need to punch all remaining Titans dead, which is trivial thanks to the transformation.

Other Tips and Methods for Aberrant Solo

Prestige Memories

Now, getting the Reiss Family and Titan Shift both are very luck-reliant. Getting both is sure to require a lot of grinding and luck, so we understand that not everyone will be able to. It might make Aberrant solo trivial, but not everybody has the luxury of getting those unlocks!

What you can do instead is to try strengthening your character through other means. For example, get more Perk slots, try to obtain 3 Star Traits and Memories and get some Artifacts.

Skill Tree

Also, make sure to familiarize yourself with the Skill Tree and try to obtain powerful skills. Torrential Steel and Drill Thrust from the Offense tree are great, as they allow you to use safe hit-and-run tactics. Bandages from Support is also a good skill, as it can let you heal yourself. Similarly, Support’s Red Flare and Black Flare can help you deal extra damage.

Being a member of a strong family, like Yeager and Ackerman is also extremely helpful. Though, again, this is extremely reliant on luck! However, you can join the Shiki Family easily if you unlock it through achievements. But, as we mentioned before, you will be unable to use Titan Shift.

Modifiers example

Also, make sure to avoid activating any modifiers at all. You need all the power you can muster if you don’t have the optimal setup we detailed previously. Only use modifiers when you are extremely confident or are playing with other players.

Ultimately, you want to be extremely agile to ensure that you can avoid all attacks. Staying put can be fatal, especially with how quickly the Titans can overwhelm you in Aberrant difficulty.

We hope these tips help you solo Aberrant mode in AOT Revolution. It’s still going to be tough without the optimal setup, but fortune favors the bold!
