Stray is out, and everyone’s overwhelmingly satisfied with the game so far. However, one or two notebooks are giving everyone a hard time as they’re very well hidden. Let’s find all 4 Notebook Locations in this guide.
All 4 Notebook Locations – Stray Guide
This was a troublesome trophy for many, myself included.
To make it easier for you than it was for me, let’s break it down into smaller steps and go from there.
The first thing you want to do is load up Chapter 4, if you haven’t already. After doing so, you need to interact with the Guardian, then turn around and go in the direction you came from to visit Momo.
Notebook 1: Momo’s Notebook
You’re going to start by climbing the boxes, they’ll be right in front of you once you go down the stairs (after talking to the Guardian). The next step is climbing up the air vents that are above the boxes.
This path will lead you to the roof, and it’ll naturally lead you to where you want to go.
Once you’re on the rooftops, you have just a few more air vents to climb and you’ll reach Momo, who gives you the first notebook and begins the sequence.
The boxes right in front are the ones you start off with, and your goal is to get up that same building.
Notebook 2: Zbaltazar’s Notebook
Head out through Momo’s window and over to a lower part of that same building.
Your goal this time is to disable the fan that leads you into Zbaltazar’s room directly through the roof. To do this, you have to interact with the block-shaped object next to the fan, which is the entrance (image below). You’ll also see a translation paper above the object, acting as a guide or a pointer.
Hop right through the fan we disabled and get ready to make a mess inside!
Next part’s fun! Once inside, you want to jump on top of the refrigerator. From there, hop on over to the stack of boxes (the one closer to you) and then onto the next one and just jump down from them. Jumping down trashes the stack of boxes, which reveals the 2nd notebook.
Notebook 3: Doc’s Notebook
From the room you trashed the boxes in, walk up to the curtain and remove it. This opens up the window, which is your exit point – it leads you right where you came from (Momo’s building).
Your goal is to get to the library and get the Safe Key that is located in it. From Momo’s building, simply run over to the library as it’s in the building next door, with a very small gap separating them.
This is what the entrance into the library looks like – hop over the balcony fence and you’re in!
Once you’re inside, go directly ahead and then all the way to your right, over the book stacks on the floor. This leads you into a small room, with a cone-looking lamp right next to the mattress on the floor. That’s where our keys are – grab them, then turn around and leave the room so we can find the safe.
After leaving the room, this stack of books should be nearby (left). Trash it, open the safe and voilà!
Notebook 4: Clementine’s Notebook
After exiting the Library, this is more or less what you’ll see. The arrow is pointing towards Clementine’s apartment, which is where the last notebook is located.
Getting there is pretty straightforward – from one building to the next and then over the pipes – done!
Once you’re in the apartment, walk past the dining table and through the broken door. In the room, you’ll see a bed, from which you want to turn left and into the only remaining room.
In this room, you’ll find a bunch of book-packed shelves and a computer table. Hop onto the computer table and you’ll instantly notice the last notebook, after which the story leads you back to Momo.
Pick up Clementine’s Notebook and you have now found all 4 Notebook Locations. You’re finally done with this part of the story!
