Super Box Siege Defense just got another update, which means new content and achievements to try and get. The latest patch added the Astral Recovery badge and getting it will also allow you to use a certain character, which we’ll talk about later in the guide. Now, let’s go over what you need to do in order to unlock this badge!
How to Get Astral Recovery Badge
Before you can get the Astral Recovery Badge, you will first need to reach at least wave 50 in the Endless Mode of any map. This will unlock the Endless: hard mode, which has a much higher chance of spawning a certain boss.
Once you start an Endless: hard mode game, all you need to do is survive long enough until the Gravitron UFO Box enemy spawns, which is supposedly random and can happen at almost any wave. Most players seem to believe that it typically shows up on Wave 32, but this is unconfirmed.
To add to that, there is also apparently a very small chance for the Gravitron UFO Box to spawn in the normal Endless Mode. It’s generally way better to just go for the hard mode if you can, though.
Fighting the Gravitron UFO Box
The Gravitron UFO Box boss is a flying enemy that has 15,000 health. While killing it may seem easy at first, do not underestimate the amount of damage it can deal once it starts shootings lasers at you.
Your health can go from thousands to zero in seconds while facing this boss, so it may be good to have a few other players to help you out while you hunt for it. You will also need a powerful character unlocked to feasibly beat it.
The only thing to note about it is that the boss can block attacks when it brings its arms together. Check the image below to see what it looks like while it is currently blocking. Attacking it while it is doing this will reportedly make it stronger, so just don’t touch it!
Once it dies, it will drop one of its arms on the ground. All you need to do at this point is to run towards it and hold E until it is claimed. If you get it in time, the Astral Recovery badge should be yours!
NOTE: Apparently, only one person can get it when it drops, and it has a fairly fast despawn timer. Because of this, if you are playing with other people, you’ll need to race them for the arm. The boss can spawn in other waves too, so you could always simply continue the run.
New Titan Unlocked!
In addition to getting a shiny new Astral Recovery badge to show off, successfully looting the arm for this achievement will also let you unlock the Repaired Titan Telescope for 10,000P.
This character has a special mechanic wherein you can upgrade its arm by getting a certain number of kills. You can do this multiple times, and to give you a quick preview of what the different weapon tiers are, they will be listed below:
- 0 kills – No attachment / Plug arm + base flamethrower
- 30 kills – Saw Arm with short-range abilities
- 65 kills – Gravity Gun that can pull and damage enemies
- 100 kills – Rocket Arm that can fire missiles
- 150 kills – Acid Arm that can spray poison
- 230 kills (final upgrade) – Gravitron Arm that has an energy mechanic that ties into its many abilities
And that is pretty much everything that you need to know in order to get this new achievement, as well as a quick sneak peek of what you can also unlock alongside it.
