Distributing your stat points in Bladers: Rebirth can be very overwhelming as a beginner, especially if you don’t want to prevent yourself from having one of the best top tier builds possible.
Understanding what each stat does and how to focus on them is very important in this game. Sure, there’s a respec system, but it’s pretty costly. On top of just stats, builds also require the proper Blade parts. It’s quite a lot, honestly!
To make things more palatable for beginner players, we’ll give you tips on how to distribute stat points properly. We’ll also go over some of the best top tier builds to give you something to aim for as you level up.
Beginner Stat Guide | Prep for the Best Top Tier Builds
Right out of the gate, we want to warn you about a common beginner mistake when selecting stats: don’t spread them out. That means, don’t try to level up everything equally. Doing so just ends up making you weaker, as you don’t really make the most out of any stat. This is a huge issue if you’re trying to get the best top tier builds in Blades: Rebirth!
That said, you can click “Reset Attributes” while looking at your Blade’s stats to respec. It costs in-game money, though…
Generally speaking, you want to try to heavily focus on just two stats as you level up. A good rule of thumb is to choose a main stat to put 70% or so of your points into, and a secondary stat for the rest. For example, 70% of your points into Attack and 30% into Stamina would be a solid build.
If you can, it’s also a good idea to do 60% on your main stat, 30% on your secondary, and 10% on Speed.
Of course, you can be more creative when you have a better feel for the game. Expert players can do well spreading their points across all stats or focusing on a single one entirely, but it requires a clear understanding of the game. To help you get started, here’s the basics of what all stats do:
- Attack – Increases the damage you do when colliding with an enemy.
- Defense – Decreases how much damage you take whenever you get hit.
- Stamina – This is, essentially, your Blade’s HP. Higher Stamina will let you keep your Blade out for longer.
- Speed – Increases your Blade’s movement speed and contact damage. Also reduces cooldowns. It also seems that having a higher Speed stat than an opponent slows your opponent down.
Of course, those are just the basic stats which are only half of a build in Bladers: Rebirth. The other half is the Blades and their parts!
Understanding Blade Parts
The second most important aspect of every build in Bladers: Rebirth is the actual Blade parts. These parts come in a variety of sets and you can get them from the Vending Machines across the game’s world. Using all parts of the same set will give you a special set bonus, such as an increase in your Power!
Each part comes with a Skill, which is a special ability you can activate while pressing certain keys. These Skills vary for each part type and some of them can even be evolved. Check out our guide on evolving Skills by upgrading parts, if you want to know more.
Most notably, though, different Skills scale off of different Stats. To make a strong build, ensure that all of your Blade’s parts scale off of your main stat.
Additionally, every single part has a star rating for every single stat. It goes from 0 at the lowest to 5 at the highest. Higher star ratings will result in that part increasing your natural stats even further. The exact math isn’t known, though, sadly.
Nonetheless, you just have to make sure that you get parts with high star ratings that match your main and secondary stats. For example, an Attack and Stamina build will want to focus on sets like Spider and Atron.
Lastly, while speaking about parts, make sure to have a Spirit matching your build. You can roll for Spirits via a unique gacha on your Blade’s stats page. For more info on all the Spirits and which ones are the best, check out our tier list of the best Spirits!
Best Top Tier Builds | Good Stat Distribution for Beginner Players
Attack Oriented Build
If you want an Attack focused build you will want to spread your stats in the following way:
- Attack 60%
- Stamina 30%
- Speed 10%
Combine these stats with a full set of the Atron parts and the Dragon Spirit for best results. It’s an extremely powerful offensive build, great for when you just want to defeat your foes quickly. It’s perfect for newbies and pros alike!
Defense Oriented Build
Become nigh indestructible while also dealing strong damage by spreading your stats as follows:
- Defense 70%
- Stamina 30%
Combine these stats with either the Titan or Gleipnir part sets. This will give you access to the Alternate Angle Skill, which turns 80% of your Defense into Attack for a brief period when used. You can be both a tank and an extremely strong attacker thanks to that Skill alone!
Full Stamina Build
If you just like having a massive health bar that lets you keep your Blade out forever, this is the build for you. Spread your stats out as follows:
- 90% Stamina
- 10% Speed
Yup, you’re going all in on Stamina with just a slight boost to speed. Combine this with Angel Top and Mid parts, then use Dragoon for the bottom part for its Whirlwind Skill. If you can, try to get Dragon as your Spirit as well. This build will outlast its enemies with ease but can be hard to build and use.
Full Speed Build
Speed in Bladers: Rebirth has been historically ignored by the best top tier builds, and even beginner players tend to ignore the stat. That said, the latest updates have started to make it much more useful. While it’s still niche, there are even builds going all in on just Speed!
For this build, you want to put all of your points only on Speed. All 100%, yup! This can be very tricky to actually use, though. Alternatively, you can do 80% Speed and 20% Stamina for better survivability and ease of use.
Combine your maxed-out Speed with the Shadow parts set and you’ll get to overwhelm foes by simply spamming powerful abilities like Shadow Clones. Get the Glass Spirit to further bolster your tricky glass cannon playstyle. The Shadow Spirit is also a fantastic choice if you’re primarily playing PvP.
