Incremental Epic Hero: Beginners Guide

This game can be quite confusing to newcomers, sometimes even veterans as well. In order to, hopefully, make things simpler for you, we made this Incremental Epic Hero beginners guide.

We’ll cover mostly the essentials, but you may find a few useful facts even for more experienced players.

Beginners Guide – Incremental Epic Hero

The game is oftentimes broken down into 3s within the community.

The breakdown is going to be briefly explained down below, for clarification purposes.

Props to IEH’s wiki-fandom page for creating the breakdown table.

  • Warriors are stronger at the early stages, and as such they’re a good starter Hero.
  • Wizards are the opposite – they lack early game strength but make it up when you get more stats.
  • Angels are usually best at farming items as they can get the most drops with their Lucky Stance,

Your First Rebirth

If this is your first time playing or you’re just getting to know the game, I suggest starting as a warrior. This is simply because Warriors rely less on gear and stats than for example Wizards, who are more late-game oriented. It’s entirely up to you, however, as all Heros are viable.

In the beginning, you should get through 1-5 and then decide to Rebirth once you slow down the pace and are no longer able to pass waves as easily.

Your primary focus here is getting the free global slot before you decide to Rebirth.

To use the new slot, you can simply view the skills of other Heros and drag them into the slot.

Keep in mind that you can’t level these skills, you can only level the skills of the active hero.

Missions & Challenges

Many have struggled to get through 2-8 or 3-2, which is reasonable as it can be tricky in the beginning.

The simplest way to get through these levels is by using a Warrior, with something like a Shield Attack and Swing Down comboboth of these should be leveled to 50 or more in order for them to be viable.

Once you get through the 1st challenge, which should be simpler with a Warrior than with a Wizard, you should get the 3rd skill slot. I usually use Swing Around here, however, it’s up to you to decide, of course.

If you’re struggling with mana, level up your Shield Attack – you gain increased damage and the mana you gain is also increased.

If you’re struggling with the 1-5 zone, don’t worry, you’re not the only one. It’s oftentimes a difficult zone to complete, so you should try idling for a while or farming other zones multiple times (1-3 is good for this, if you can clear it easily). Once you get through this and you get through the 2-1 zone, you’ll finally get the 3rd skill slot that we mentioned earlier. This zone is also good for farming, once you’re strong enough to clear it easily.

Slime Coins & Bank

I spend most of these on Efficiency before I can buy the Slime Coin Ledger. Slime Coins can boost a plethora of things, from your stats all the way to Alchemy and improve the capture success rate.

Now, even though these coins stay with you through Rebirth, I would highly advise against swapping them back into gold. They’re far too valuable to just be used to swap into gold.

Alchemy – Avoid (in the early stages of your journey)

Feel free to ignore Alchemy until the mid-late game, as it requires some level of understanding. You should know all about the resources you’re spending and the benefits you’re getting before you get into Alchemy, so I don’t suggest starting this until you can clear 4-2 easily (<2 minutes).
