Bayle The Dread Boss Location

We’ll go over everything you need to do in order to reach Bayle The Dread Boss in the Elden Ring DLC. Start your journey from Pillar Path Waypoint and then, we’ll talk to Igon at the PIllar Path.

Speak to Igon at Pillar Path Waypoint

When you reach Pillar Path Waypoint, you’ll hear a man crying in exquisite pain. Talk to him and then you can be on your way to the next location which is to fight the Ancient Dragon-Man in Dragon’s Pit.

Fighting Ancient Dragon Man in Dragon’s Pit.

You need to head to the Dragon’s Pit while being in Pillar’s Way point so get on your horse and keep heading forward in the direction you saw the injured knight.

Keep going forward along the path and you’ll see rocky hills to your left and a statue to your right. That’s when you know you’re going on the right path.

When you reach the Plateaus, you should see a man approaching you while turning red and gradually lighting himself on fire. You may defeat him but he’s not the one we need to fight.

We’re after slaying the Dragon Man in Dragon’s pit so continue heading straight. Go past the Plateau and you should see some more destroyed statues on your way.

After that, reach the saving grace option and then take a left. Keep following the path and when you see a spacious ground and take a left again.

Keep following this path. When you reach a candle-lit room, there will be a massive dark pit in the ground. Avoid falling and keep going forward.

When you reach the end of the pathway shown in the image above, there will be a cliff, jump down. From there, you can either slaughter your enemies and avoid them. Turn left until you see a room with a big altar and candles in the middle. If you walk toward it, there will be another pit.

Jump down into the darkness, the fall will be a slight bit long. When you finally reach the ground. Go to mist, traverse it.

Then, you’ll be on the other side where the Ancient Dragon Man is. Defeat him in combat and exit through the door on the other end of the room. Keep heading straight on the path until you see the outside surface.

Our next objective is to reach the grand altar of Dragon Communion so let us show you where you need to go.

Receive a Blessing at Grand Altar of the Dragon Communion

Mount your horse and follow along the path of where you exited the cave. This way, you’ll reach the “Foot of the Jagged Peak”. Gallop down with your horse. When you reach the bottom, go straight until you see a path to your right and from there, instead of continuing straight, go right.

You’ll see a bunch of sheep. Keep heading in the same direction. At one point, you’ll witness a cave with an outer part resembling a dragon, as if the cave was made from the dragon itself. That is the Grand Altar of the Dragon Communion.

Our next objective is to receive a blessing from the priestess. The priestess will be standing next to the entrance in front of a pink flame. Approach her and speak to her.

Click “Devour Draconic Essence”. She’ll ask us to seek the jagged peak so pull out your map and travel to Dragon’s Pit Terminus.

Reaching the Foot of Jagged Peak

For a little refresher, this location is where we exited the Dragon’s Pit. Get back on your horse, and go back to the Foot of the Jagged Peak. Then gallop down the peak and instead of turning right as we did previously, Go a little toward left but straight between two Plateaus.

Keep following the path from there until you turn left and reach the narrow pathway on the mountains. Carefully go along that path as well.

Go into the forestry trees and reach the top through a whirlwind that helps you float to the very top. Once you’re at the top, turn left and you’ll see a bridge that crosses you to the other side. Take the bridge. When you reach the other side, you’re now at the Foot of the Jagged Peak. Our next objective is to defeat 2 dragons and go back to Igon.

Defeating 2 Dragons and then speaking to Igon.

Continue along this path. The weather will be extremely rough and you’ll see red in the air. Once you’re at the end of the path, you’ll see an open ground with dragons.

You must defeat them. Once you do, you’ll get some spoils of war and some loot. Igon is just ahead admiring your fighting. Go over to him and speak to him. You will receive Igon’s Curled Finger. Next, we must reach the jagged peak mountainside.

Reaching the Jagged Peak Mountainside

Head back on your horse and go straight until you see a whirlwind that will take you to the top. At the top of the mountain, you’ll find another whirlwind there too. Take that too. When you’re at the top, a little toward the right, you’ll see a very narrow pathway.

Go in that direction and keep following the same path. Large boulders will fall in your direction so watch out for those! Keep going straight. You’ll see another dragon that’s skeletal like. You can avoid it by continuing to ride on the left side of the wall. Follow the road until you see an exit.

When you exit through the opening, that’s how you reach the jagged peak mountainside. We’ll need to head to the jagged peak summit next.

The Jagged Peak Summit.

So, head left, up the rocky terrain. Keep on that path without getting struck by flamed lightning, until you see a whirlwind. Take it to reach the top. Continue heading up the rocky path and avoid getting burned. You’ll encounter a cut between the pathways, so ride carefully and jump when needed.

At the end, you’ll reach another whirlwind, let it take you to the top. Then there’s more climbing up rocky terrains until you reach the summit with the help of another whirlwind. The summit will be calmer and less chaotic with a few winds. That’s how you know you’ve reached the Jagged Peak Summit. It’s time to finally go for the Bayle The Dread!

Bayle The Dread

Go into the open ground where you’ll find orange flowers growing. In no time, Bayle The dread will show up, ready to fight and slaughter you, unless you slaughter him first! So go ahead and collect your spoils for defeating him and the reward of learning that a soul was freed from Bayle The Dread.
