Playing a Tycoon game and seeing the numbers go up as you make efficient ways to get cash is always fun. Jumping into a new one though might be a bit confusing, since you’ll need to learn how things work. The game genre isn’t the most complex, but it’s enough to get lost in!

In RNG Tycoon, there are a lot of items and mechanics that you’ll need to learn throughout the game. Since it’s all RNG, you might even miss on a few things so you should at least know what you can get!

In this guide, we’ll show you some great tips and tricks on how to get started in the game for beginners. Now, let’s see what you can do so that we can maximize our production and get those numbers going!

Complete Beginner’s Guide

RNG Tycoon as the name implies is a tycoon game, and with most games in that genre, you play to increase your currency. You then use that currency to buy upgrades and new equipment to increase your income some more. Before you can roll in the big bucks though, you’ll need to learn the basics.

Rolling For Items

When you start, you’ll have your platform where you can start your operation. At the bottom of the screen is the Item roll button and you’ll be using a lot of it throughout the game. This is your main way of obtaining items for you to use.

Roll for an item and once you’re done, so you can press the blue check mark to keep it or the red cross mark to discard it. The first item you’ll get is a mine which is the start of your production line.

Later on, you’ll want to activate “Auto” and “Fast” as well as some options that we’ll talk about later. That’s because in mid and late-game you’ll be rolling a lot of items that you don’t need, so it’s best to automate it!

Starting Your Production Line

On your platform, you’ll see these see-through blocks as shown below. This is where you’ll place the items you roll for. Click on the block at the start of the line opposite of where the red square is to place your mine.

If you’ve rolled for multiple items, you might get multiple copies as shown below. Each item has its stats as well as bonuses. For example, the Overclocked Iron Mine has a higher drop rate than the Standard one as shown below.

Once you place the Mine, it’ll start dropping ore with a value on top of it. At the start, it’ll be low, but you can increase it through other items or by upgrading your mine by replacing it with a better one.

Upgrading Ores

Now that you’re producing ore, you’ll want to upgrade them, so that the value will increase. Roll for more items, and you can get stuff that you can place in the middle of your Production Line. For example, you can get an Ore Polisher that upgrades the price of the ore as well as adds the Polished Trait to it.

You can place multiple items that can upgrade your ore, and it will automatically increase the value as they go through it. Place as many as you can and watch the numbers increase!

Ending The Production

Now that you’re producing high-value items, you’ll then want to end the production with a Processor. This is an item that you can place at the end of the line, and it gives a final upgrade on the item’s value.

Ore Destruction

When placing items that upgrade your ore, some of them will have special properties that you’ll need to keep an eye on. Some upgrades like the Flame Blaster will set your ore on fire, and a timer will be placed on them. Once the timer is finished, and it doesn’t get to the end it’ll be destroyed!

So, make sure to keep this in mind and try to place these upgrades near the end of the production line. That way, the item won’t be destroyed before it gets to the Processor!

Upgrading Your Tycoon

Now that you’re making the big bucks, where are you going to use all of that cash? On your platform, you’ll see this button as shown below which has a sun icon. Click on it and you’ll see the Upgrade Window.

The Upgrade Window is where you’ll spend most of your cash. You can see how much your cash is on the upper right of the screen.

From there, you can upgrade your Tycoon which will make the production line bigger which can give you more slots. That might mean more Mine or Upgrade machine slots you can add to get more cash!

RNG Tycoon Upgrades

You can also upgrade your Luck and your Luck Burst, so that you have a higher chance of getting better items. Upgrading your walk speed can help you move around the place faster. Why would you move around if everything is automated? Because of items!

Free Items

While your Tycoon is running and printing money for you, go around the map. You might find these shiny blocks as shown below that you can interact with. Doing so will give you a free item that you can use for your Tycoon.

These items will be added to your inventory which you can then use to get temporary buffs for your Tycoon. The bonuses can include increasing your income to increasing your luck so you can get better items.

So, make sure to explore the map when you’re not doing anything so that you can maximize those bonuses!

Useful Options

Now that you know the basics, here are some options that you’ll want to know and set up. Go to your Settings and then scroll down to the bottom.

The first option you’ll want to turn on is “Reduce Motion” since it just makes the screen shake less when you’re walking around. “Automatic Rejoin” is for the times that Roblox kicks you out of the game for being AFK for too long. This game has a lot of downtime so it’s best to turn this on.

Disable Common Cutscenes” should be turned on when you don’t need these common items anymore. It can get annoying if you keep on getting them as your luck goes higher with upgrades.

RNG Tycoon Settings

Auto Roll Keep Threshold” is a tricky one to set up. For beginners that have their tycoons set up already, set it to around 1000. This will automatically discard any item that is lower than that rarity. As you get better and better rarity items, you’ll want to increase the threshold to skip the lower ones.

With these tips, you’re finally ready to play some RNG Tycoon! Now, go out there and try your best to set up that production line and get a lot of cash!
