Once Human is a multiplayer open-world survival game set in a bizarre post-apocalyptic future. There are a lot of features to be discovered in the game, and one of them is the purification. In order to purify in the game, you need to place a Cortex in the Purifying Vessel and simply activate the machine. When the purification process begins, you must first fight waves of adversaries in order to obtain Starchrom. In this complete territory purification guide, we are going to take a look at everything you need to know about this feature.
Complete Territory Purification Guide
The way purifying works is that you acquire by killing deviants and looting dungeons and chests. While doing that, you are going to receive these Eclipse cortexes. These are available in three PVE versions and four PVP servers.
There are three tiers. Each will summon a different difficulty of the adversary while rewarding you with more starchrom. The fourth stone is known as an echo stone.
You can only find the echo stone on PVP servers because it is a PVP-only stone. It pays you with equal amounts of starchrom; however, attempting to extract it would flag you and your entire base for PVP. So be mindful of that
If you are attempting to purify one of those stones, others may raid your base and maybe break everything down and steal it from you, so make sure you have strong defenses in place.

How to Strengthen the Defense
In order to create a strong defense for your base, we advise you to follow these steps:
- Foundation:
- Begin by constructing triangular foundations in the center of your base.
- Create three concentric rings of triangular foundations around the center.
- First Floor:
- Use pillars instead of walls on the exterior. This prevents rivals from quickly destroying your base by breaking down walls.
- Ensure that every possible location has a pillar for a solid foundation.
- Place the steps in a spiral pattern with triangle floors around them.
- Second Floor:
- Use this floor to house all necessary workbenches, security silos, power units, and storage.
- Consider storing crucial items such as chests on the third floor for increased security.
- Third Floor and Rooftop:
- This area is suitable for additional storage and generators.
- Use sandbags and gravitational traps to direct opponents along certain paths.
- Build your foundation mostly from high-durability materials such as concrete and premium wood.
- Make sure to use a lot of maxed-out turrets.
How to Complete Purification
If you complete 40 max tier level three cortexes, you will receive 4,000 starchrom as a reward, therefore you should absolutely complete your 40 stone weekly limit because it is a significant amount of starchrom that you can easily obtain with the appropriate defenses each week. So make sure you are only entering the exact amount required for the purifying process.
Once you enter that, it displays the adversaries you will be fighting. The monster level will be 35, and the ideal number of players will be four. The number of waves is three and there will be two elite foes.
You probably will not need that many people since you will have a good defense in your base. However, keep in mind that; if you don’t get a shot at the opponent, the loot will not drop. And they occasionally drop things like acid and other helpful items.
So, even though the turrets deal a lot of damage for you, you should still participate a little bit and get a couple of bullets in on each enemy before they die. That way, you can still obtain their benefits while also collecting the resources and sulfur or acid that they drop.
