The Games have now started in Roblox, and there are a lot of participating experiences that will let you rack up points for various rewards. Among those games in the event is Epic Minigames, which is pretty much just a mish mash of different games where you compete with random players. In this guide, we will be showing you how to get all the shines and silvers for the event!
How to Get All 5 Shines & Silvers (The Games Roblox Event)
Before we start, if you are new to this game, there is one important thing you need to do. You should quickly open the settings in the left hand side of the screen, then click on “No” for the “Playing” option.
This will prevent you from being randomly matched in the next minigame. If you don’t do this, you are going to be interrupted constantly as you try to do the quests for this event.
Earning the Silver Pieces
Silver Piece #1
Now, talk to the TypicalGamer NPC, who is dressed in green near the spawn area. He will give you the first quest that you need to complete for silver. After this, head to the arcade, which is unfortunately blocked at the moment.
Follow the wires leading out from the arcade’s door to find the two buttons that you need to press in order to deactivate the barrier. There are giant yellow arrows pointing towards them, and they are just a few steps away from the door itself. Check the image below for reference.
Once the arcade is open, you will have to play and win all three games that can be found there. You cannot cheese this by playing only one, so you’ll need to do your best for each!
For the hockey game, it’s actually really easy, as the goalie barely moves and you can easily get way more than the required 25 points for it. Start out with this one as it is the easiest to finish.
Next, head to the Thwack Attack game. For this one, all you need to do is click at the right time. When the small line is over the green or orange square, that’s when you click. Not much to say here, just make sure to time your clicks right to get 200 points or more!
Basket Baller is where it might get a little harder for you. It took me a couple of tries due to how inconsistent it is, but the main tip is to click on the yellow highlighted part of the board in the image below. This will usually get the ball through.
Do not panic or spam clicks, as you will just reduce your chances of success by having your shots go on cooldown for nothing. Relax and focus on clicking at the right spot and you should be able to reach the required 25 points in no time!
Silver Piece #2
Once you have finished the arcade games, head back to the NPC and you will receive your first silver coin. Next up, he will ask you to search for sports equipment in minigames.
For this one, open your settings and set “Playing” to “Yes”. Basically, you will need to find the following items that will randomly spawn in minigames:
- Tennis Racket
- Football Boots
- Volleyball
All of these items are large, floating, and will have a yellow glowing aura. It’s completely random, as far as I know. Also, you can find Shines in minigames too. I sure as heck did when I found the Football Boots, as seen in the image below.
I also got the Tennis Racket from the Slippery Sledding minigame. I couldn’t even take a screenshot because of how incredibly fast it goes by. The Volleyball I found in the Balcony Bolt game, specifically in the Temple map.
I can’t really give you any advice here, as you just need to get lucky. A lot of minigames do not have spawns in them as you can’t exactly move around in some of these. This is probably the most time consuming quest.
Again, these are also random. I’ve checked around and other players have found these in completely different minigames. You just have to keep playing until you get all three.
Silver Piece #3
Finally, once you finish the previous quest, your last one will be to win five sports minigames. These are indicated by the soccer ball icon next to the minigame’s image.
I won’t lie to you, I’m not going to do this myself as I don’t exactly have time to sit here and wait for five (or more) sports minigames to show up. Let alone spending time trying to win them. Good luck to all y’all if you are going for this last coin.
Finding All the Shines
This one is a little less random, but a bit more tedious to do. There are a couple of very different tasks you will need to do to get all five shines, but we’ll go through them from easy to hard.
Shines #1 and #2 – Minigames
Two shines can be found randomly in minigames. Specifically, from sports and versus (red and blue swords icon) games. Because of this, you will just have to keep playing random ones unless you have Robux to choose the next game.
Nothing much I can say here, as this is purely a matter of luck and patience. As I said above, I found one randomly during a racing minigame in the desert. My second one was from Flintlock Battle or whatever it’s called.
If your goal is to purely find shines, you can just ignore the mechanics and focus on looking for them in the maps. You don’t need to win games to collect them!
Shine #3 – Lighthouse Parkour
For this one, you just have to make your way up the lighthouse at the corner of the map. You can probably already see the shine in the distance from the spawn area.
Just make your way up there and start climbing the lighthouse itself. This part is incredibly janky, and I have no idea what the developer was thinking when they designed this section. Just spam spacebar until it works.
TIP: Some people have noted that you can get it much easier with a different avatar. In the example below, you can see that I changed my avatar to the free Junkbot character in the Marketplace, as my usual getup won’t let me up there.
Shine #4 – The Obby
Next, jump down to the beach and go to the cave right beside a bunch of towels on the sand. You can actually see this from the tip of the lighthouse too. This is an entrance to an obby.
This one is pretty straightforward. Just take your time to get all the jumps right and avoid any obstacles in the way. There is no time limit, so just relax and take it one obstacle at a time and you’ll get the shine at the end with ease.
Shine #5 – The Annoying Balls
Finally, go back to the beach once more and jump on the button on the sand. This will spawn three different balls on the water. What follows next is going to be the most annoying thing you will need to do in this game.
Basically, you need to bring all three balls to the proper “goal”. In this case, you need to do the following specific steps:
- Golf Ball – You must bring it to the hole near the spawn area. This is right beside the stairs leading to the arcade.
- Basketball – You will need to shoot it at the basket near the beach.
- Soccer ball – The goal for this is above the spawn area, right next to all the leaderboards and an old man NPC.
For the sake of your sanity, push them off the water instead of mindlessly pressing E whenever you get prompted to do so. The worst part of this step is trying to get the balls off the beach, as they will constantly bounce back to the water if you are unlucky.
This is going to be incredibly frustrating, but if I can do it, so can you. Just be patient and slowly push them into the proper positions and only press E if you have to get them to higher elevation.
Keep in mind that other players will also collide with the balls. I’m not sure if they can see them as well, but I can confirm that they can block balls unintentionally. If you are trying to get the golf or soccer ball step done, wait until everybody is in a minigame to do it.
And that is pretty much all you need to do in order to complete all the event-related objectives in this game. If you are still hunting for more rewards in The Games, then check out our guide on how to get all the shines and silver in Watermelon Go for more!
