Gazimon probably isn’t the most cool looking Digimon out there, but it’s one of the more iconic ones in the anime. Since Digimon Survive is more akin to the anime and not the previous games it makes sense that a lot of people want to get this peculiar Digimon. Maybe that’s the reason you’re here, if that’s the case then read on.
Gazimon appears around Chapter 2 when you unlock Free Battles. When doing so you have to keep in mind that when you pick free battle there’s a chance of you not getting Gazimon in that battle. It’s RNG so if he’s not there then just gone through the battle and try again until he spawns.
Once he does spawn you need to talk to them, that’s how you get Digimon to join your party, by talking to them and choosing the right response to their lines. To get a chance on Gazimon joining your team you need to get at least 3 out of the 6 bars on top of him. You get two for picking the best answer. Gazimon has a lot of lines so below is a list of his lines and the best replies to those lines.

Once the talking is over Gazimon will ask what do you want and you can either ask him to join or to give you an item. In this case you want him to join.
