Black Myth Wukong tends to give you a lot of freedom to explore. But as you progress through the story, you’ll eventually reach the next chapter. In such cases, you’ll find yourself in a new area with seemingly no way to go back.

Not to worry, we have you covered. In this guide, we’ll show you how you can return to the previous chapter. In this way, you can continue to explore and find new secrets that you might’ve missed in a previous chapter. Let’s dive in!

How to Return to Previous Chapter

To return to the previous chapter in Black Myth Wukong, you need to do the following steps:

  • Go to any Keeper Shrine
  • Select the Travel option
  • Pick the area in the previous chapter
  • Select any shrine you want to go to in the chapter.

There are quite a few secret areas that you might have missed out on in Black Myth Wukong. One such secret area is the kingdom of sahali secret area, that is linked to a quest.

Select Travel Option

Starting off, to go to a previous chapter you will need to go to any Keeper Shrine in Black Myth Wukong. In the menu, select the Travel option.

This will show you all the areas that you’ve unlocked so far. If you want to go to the places in Chapter 1, for example, select the Black Wind Mountain.

Pick A Shrine

After you’ve picked a chapter, you’ll be able to see all the areas within that chapter. Now, you can pick any specific shrine that you want to go to and explore. For example, we picked the Marsh of White Mist in Bamboo Grove.

Once you pick one, you’ll automatically fast travel there. And there you go, you’ve gone back to the previous chapter. You can do this for any chapter as you progress through the game.
