Black Myth: Wukong implements various upgrading elements whether it’s for health or other stats. The game uses interesting items like the Gourd to buff up your stats and give you a hand in how you’d like your combat style to go.
To survive tough battles against bosses, you’ll need an item that allows you to heal. That’s what drinks are for. We’ll tell you where you can find each special drink in the game.
All Drink Locations
There are 9 unique drinks spread out across various regions on the map. Finding all of them will unlock the “Brews and Barrels” achievement. The further you progress, the more drinks you unlock. Here are the locations of each drink you can find from each chapter.
Each location is explained in detail below.
Chapter 1: Black Wind Mountain
There is 1 drink available in Chapter 1.
Drink #1: Coconut Wine
This is the drink you obtain at the beginning of the game for free. The name of the wine changes as you upgrade it to “X-Year-Old Coconut Wine”. You can upgrade these using Awaken Wine Worms. The more you upgrade it, the higher the age that’s displayed in the name Wine. As a result, it restores more health per use.
You can upgrade your Drink at any point when you’ve collected enough Awaken Wine Worms. All you need to do is go to Shen Monkey Merchant from Chapter 1 Bamboo Grove in Marsh of White Mist.
Chapter 2: Yellow Wind Ridge
There is 1 more drink available in Chapter 2.
Drink #2: Lambbrew (Sandgate Village | Village Entrance)
The moment you start Chapter 2, go up the hill path that’s on your right. You’ll discover rat archers shooting in your direction. You’ll find this item at the end of the path in a small alter. This area is located before the “Village Entrance” shrine.
Chapter 3: The New West
There are 3 more drinks available in Chapter 3.
Drink #3: Pinebrew (Bamboo Grove | Marsh of White Mist)
Fast travel back to Chapter 1’s location from any shrine and go to the Shen Monkey Merchant. The Pinebrew drink becomes available at his store once you start Chapter 3. You can purchase the drink to obtain it.
Drink #4: Bluebridge Romance (North Shore of the Bitter Lake)
Once you reach, turn toward the coastline and follow the coats until you reach a temple area. You’ll find a lake to the left and a golden-glowing vase in the lake with the drink.
Drink #5: Jade Essence (Valley of Ecstasy | Towers of Karma)
Turn left from the shrine and look for the corner behind a stone pillar. You’ll need to reach the Towers of Karma Shrine. You can start from Forest of Felicity which is on the main story path and go past the gate in front of you.
After that, drop down from the left side and look for the corner of that area to find the shrine. That’s where you’ll find this drink.
Chapter 4: The Webbed Hollow
There are 2 more drinks available in Chapter 4.
Drink #6: Worryfree Brew (Webbed Hollow | The Verdure Bridge)
Take the left path from the bridge and pass over the green bridge with roots growing. Once you’re on the other side, go left where you’ll see two lanterns on the right side. Keep heading forward until you reach stairs that lead you all the way up to a village. Reach a purple altar in the village to trigger a cutscene.
Destroy the cocoons that are on the left of the altar to enter a house, with a tea kettle. You’ll need to interact with this kettle to get the drink.
Drink #7: Sunset of the Nine Skies (Temple of the Yellow Flower | Court of Illumination)
Go up the flight of stairs that’s directly behind you when you reach this shrine. Follow the path and turn right when there’s a split in the path. You’ll find the drink at the end of that right path in front of a hut.
Chapter 5: Flaming Mountains
There is 1 drink available in Chapter 5.
Drink #8: Loong Balm (Furnace Valley | The Emerald Hall)
You obtain this drink after defeating the unmissable main story boss, Yin-Yang Fish. The golden drink will be sitting next to the throne in Emerald Hall.
Chapter 6: Mount Huaguo
There is 1 more final drink available in Chapter 6.
Drink #9: A Thousand Days Inebriation
Fast travel back to Chapter 1’s location from any shrine and go to the Shen Monkey Merchant. A Thousand Days Inebriation drink becomes available at his store once you start Chapter 6. You can purchase the drink to obtain it.
Collecting all 9 drinks will give you the “Brews and Barrels” achievement! You don’t have to upgrade all drinks, just need to collect them.
