I’m not sure if you’re new to Dandy’s World, but either way, you must know that research is a very essential part of the game. The reason for this is because unlocking research unlocks wide range of content as well, including special trinkets, main characters like Sprout, and much more. If you’ve been spending hours in the game without much research progress, you’re not doing it right. In this guide, I’ll show you how to quickly accumulate research in the game, the best way!
How To Get A Lot of Research Guide
Let’s cut to the chase. There are two main ways to acquire research in Dandy’s World: Research Capsules and Twisted Encounters. I’ll provide details, as well as tips you can use to easily acquire them.
First, let’s talk about Research Capsules. You’ll find two capsules per Twisted on each floor. Each capsule gives you 1% research progress for the specific Twisted it belongs to. And here’s a bonus: capsules are client-sided, which means that even if you pick one up, it will still be available for other players. This makes it much easier for everyone in the game to collect more research without any competition.
Next, let’s take a look at Twisted Encounters. Basically, each time you encounter a Twisted, you’ll gain 5% research on that particular Twisted. However, if you encounter the same Twisted again on the same floor, you won’t get any additional research.
Using Rodger To Get More Research
So, what does the curious-detective magnifying glass have for us? Well, if you’re playing as Rodger, things get even better! Rodger gains double research, so capsules will give you 2%, and encounters will give you 10%.
To maximize your research per floor, I recommend playing as Rodger. Grab both capsules for the Twisted you’re researching, and then get chased by that Twisted. Done correctly, you should end up with 14% research per floor!
In case you’re wondering how to acquire Rodger, his requirements are: 1,000 Ichor and 50% any Twisted research.
However, keep in mind that main characters only start appearing from the fifth floor onward. This makes accumulating research for them more challenging, so keep that in mind as you progress. That’s pretty much how you get lots of research progression in Dandy’s World.
Getting research isn’t too hard. Just stick with Roger for a while, and you’ll see everything fall into place smoothly.
