There’s a new game that’s grabbing the attention of MOBA/Shooter gamers globally, and it’s called Deadlock. It’s a 6 v 6 game that combines the intensity of a third-person shooter with MOBA elements. Imagine Smite, but with a stronger emphasis on shooter mechanics.
Similar to most online games nowadays, you also have access to multiple characters with different designs, abilities and playstyles in Deadlock. Simply put, some characters will be more effective than the others depending on which role or purpose you’ll be using them. If you’re tired of 1 v 6-ing your games, I’m here to help you out. Here’s a tier list which shows you the best solo-carries in Deadlock!
Best SOLO Carries Tier List
Currently, there are 21 characters that you can play in Deadlock. As mentioned above, every single character has different sets of abilities and playstyle; some are generally better than others, depending on the role. For this tier list, I’ve prepared you a ranking for solo queue, focusing on which characters are best for carrying games on your own. Many existing tier lists are made by high MMR players and reflect high-level coordinated play.
However, I understand that solo queue can be a different beast, often marked by lack of coordination and players doing their own thing. So, let’s dive into which characters are best for carrying a game solo and which ones might struggle without a coordinated team.
Here’s how I’ve structured my tier list:
- S Tier: These are the top solo carry characters, capable of taking over a game on their own.
- A Tier: Viable solo carry characters, though not the absolute best.
- B Tier: Can be effective in solo queue with skill, but not typically recommended.
- C and D Tier: Characters that struggle the most with solo carrying.
S Tier
- Shiv – Undoubtedly the best solo carry character in the game right now. Shiv’s design and current state make him exceptionally powerful, capable of turning around fights and taking on multiple enemies with ease.
- Lash – Highly impactful, especially at lower MMR. Lash’s speed and kill potential make him a strong solo carry option.
- Infernus – A strong laner with high DPS and survivability, making him great for solo carrying.
- Paradox – His damage and strong laning stage make him a solid solo carry choice.
- Vindicta – A snowball character that excels if you’re better than everyone else on the server. Her assassinate ability and recent changes make her a strong pick.
A Tier
- Pocket – While he has great solo carry potential and high damage, his ultimate falls off late game, which is why he’s in A tier.
- Wraith – Good solo kill potential and farming capabilities make her a strong option.
- Warden – Solid solo kill potential, tankiness, and mobility put him in A tier.
- Lady Geist – High damage output but lacks some survivability, placing her at the bottom of A tier or the top of B tier.
B Tier
- Grey Talon – Strong but quite squishy, making solo carrying a bit more challenging
- Bebop – While effective with a good team, BBOP’s kit relies on team coordination, so he’s placed in B tier.
- Haze – Used to be S tier but is now less effective due to reduced damage.
- Yamato – Once a strong solo carry character, Yamato now feels underwhelming and is placed in B tier.
- Abrams – Can solo carry to some extent but is not ideal for it.
- Kelvin – Also, can solo carry but is more effective in specific situations.
C Tier
As mentioned from my tier list structure, these characters can be effective in solo queue with the right skill, but generally not recommended.
- Mo & Krill
- Seven
- Dynamo
- Ivy
D Tier
- McGinnis – Currently the weakest solo carry character in the game, with limited potential outside of specific circumstances.
- Viscous – Mostly utility-based and lacks the damage needed for effective solo carrying.
Shiv Dominates The Game
That pretty much wraps it up for my best Solo carry potential tier list in Deadlock. If you’re looking to climb out of lower MMR games, focus on the characters that I’ve placed in the S and A tiers, especially Shiv! Also, you should know that Abrams shines in low elo because many players aren’t familiar with how to parry effectively or counter his healing with anti-heal items.
Lastly, keep in mind that my tier list is based on my own experience and may differ from other players’ perspectives.
