How To Establish a Colony at the Old Dreadnought in Frostpunk 2

Thrive in the harsh cold! Here’s how you establish your Colony at the Old Dreadnought.

Let’s cut to the chase! At some point in the game, you’ll be required to establish your colony at the Old Dreadnought map of Frostpunk 2. In this guide, I’m going to show you how to establish a colony at the Old Dreadnought. I’ll cover everything you need, including gathering cores, connecting paths, and managing your Frostland Teams!

How To Establish a Colony at the Old Dreadnought

To set up your colony, you’ll need a few key items: Cores, Frostland Teams, and Prefabs. You should already know how Prefabs work, so I won’t go into that. Cores can be found randomly as you explore, and you might even spot one right nearby! Just click on them to grab the parts; They can’t be manufactured.

Up next, you’ll need to create a path to our colony site. Click on the area, and you’ll see some black markers. Click on those to extend your path. You can also connect to other areas to expand your reach. Also, you won’t need to construct a Way Station for this one.

After that, you can start constructing with your Frostland Teams. To get more Frostland Teams, just build more Logistic Districts. As you expand, they’ll provide even more! Now, they’ll start constructing the connection, which then allows you to send colonists over.

You’re aiming to send 3,000 colonists—just wait for the connection to be built, which will take a couple weeks. Remember, this will take 3,000 colonists from your main city. You’ll see the population drop as they head over. It’ll take another 15 weeks for them to arrive.

After the wait, you can check in on our new colony! This area is just like the Prologue map, and you should’ve successfully established our colony at the Old Dreadnought. You’ll have different stats and population dynamics here, just like any other colony.

You’ve Done It!

And there you have it! You’ve successfully established a colony at the Old Dreadnought in Frostpunk 2, complete with unique stats and a thriving population. Remember, managing your Frostland Teams and resources is key to your colony’s success!
