As part of Update 5.1, fans of Genshin Impact can now enjoy brand new story quests. They allow you to progress through the story line and uncover new secrets. As part of the Beneath the Secret Source quest, you’ll come across relics where you’ll need to solve a puzzle to complete an image.
This puzzle can be a bit confusing, especially if you want to get through it as quickly as possible. Not to worry, we have you covered. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly where to rotate the device so you can open the path. Let’s dive in!
Rotate Device to Complete Image & Open the Path
To complete this puzzle in Beneath the Secret Source, you’ll need to rotate three devices to complete the image. Each device controls one disc in the image of the puzzle. You’ll also need to do them in order, as completing the device will unlock the second.
So, we’ll show you the exact positions where you need to stop the devices so you can open the path and continue the quest.
First Device
The first device will be right next to you when you discover the puzzle. Interact with it and the second disc from the center will start rotating.
Your goal is to line it up with the disc that is in the center – which will serve as a guide for the entire puzzle. The exact position you want to stop the device is shown on the image below.
When you line it up right, the disc will glow golden. After that, the marker for the second device will also appear and you’ll be able to interact with it.
Second Device
The second device can be found above on a platform to the right of the first device. You can get there pretty easily by grappling. This device will now move the third disc from the center.
Again, you’ll need to use the center discs as a guide for where you have to stop. This one can be a bit tricky as the image is not immediately clear.
However, the image below should help you understand where exactly you want to stop the disc. Don’t worry, if you get it wrong. You’ll have unlimited tries to get it right, but will need to wait for the image to rotate back!
When you get it right, the disc will glow again and you’ll unlock the third device. It can be found on the left of the chamber on the other side.
Third Device
When you’re approaching the third device in Genshin Impact, be careful. This is because there will be an enemy that will awaken when you approach it. So, you’ll need to defeat it first before you can complete the image.
After defeating it, interact with the puzzle to start the device. This will control the outermost disc, and now the image will start to become more clearer. You’ll basically need to form the head of a dragon using this disc.
The exact position to stop the disc is shown in the image below. When you get it right, a small cutscene will play showing the door on the left open. Congratulations, the path is now open for you to go through!
