Catching her can be a challenge, especially if you’re unsure of the right rod and bait to use. Don’t worry! How To Catch Nessie
The only place you can catch Nessie is at the Frightful Pool event. She spawns after midnight, similar to other abundance areas. The ideal weather for fishing is Foggy, which can be triggered by using a Smokescreen Totem.
If you don’t have a Fish Radar to locate the exact size of the Frightful Pool zone, make sure to stay close to the light beam at the center. If you enter a server and the Frightful Pool hasn’t spawned yet, try leaving and joining another server until you find one that has it.
Best Rods for Catching Nessie
Nessie is the largest fish in Fisch, weighing over 2,000 kg. The only rods that can reliably catch her are the Steady Rod and the King’s Rod. If you’re a beginner, go for the Steady Rod—while it has low luck and lure speed, it has very high resilience and max weight, which is required for catching Nessie.
If possible, acquire the King’s Rod in the Statue of Sovereignty Island. Pay 400 credits to take the elevator down to the Keeper’s Altar. Then, proceed to the left part of the altar and buy the King’s Rod for 120k.
While you could attempt to use a rod with the Unbreakable enchantment (+10,000 kg), remember that Nessie inflicts a -80% progress speed debuff. Without enough resistance, you will likely fail the fishing minigame.
Best Baits for Catching Nessie
Nessie’s preferred bait is the Truffle Worm, which is the rarest bait in the game. If you don’t have a stockpile of it, use any baits that boost your Universal Luck, Resilience, or Lure Speed. Good alternatives include Bagels, Maggots, Squid, Seaweed, Weird Algae, and Night Shrimp.
How to get Truffle Worms: The most reliable source of Truffle Worms, Nessie’s favorite bait, is Volcanic Geodes. These geodes can only be caught using a Magma Rod in the Roslit Volcano. To enhance your chances of finding them, consider using Magnet Bait.
