How To Get to Desolate Deep Location (Rods, Fishes & Flippers)
To locate the new Desolate Deep cave, first, look for a Red buoy in the water. The buoy sells Advanced Diving Gear for 15,000 coins. It functions like the normal diving gear but allows for a longer dive time.
NOTE: You won’t need to buy the Advanced Scuba Gear to reach the basic cave area.
The Red buoy is located behind and straight north from the Sunstone Statue and is pretty far out, but you’ll come across it eventually. Once you find it, dive straight down, and you should come across two new fishing rods and possibly some new fish to catch in this updated area.
Once you’ve reached the bottom, there’s a tight path that leads to the Merchant. The merchant offers items like Flippers (for faster swimming), Super flippers, and a Reinforced rod that costs 20,000 coins. The reinforced rod has an infinite weight capacity, which is a big advantage.
