The new Desolate Deep update has made its mark in Fisch, and along with it are lots of cool content to explore and experience. That includes new areas, fishes, challenges, and rods — like the Trident Rod.

In this guide, I’ll take you through every step necessary to navigate the depths of the Desolate Deep cave and uncover the powerful Fisch-ing tool. It’s not that hard to be honest, you’ll just have to be aware of the directions, as well as the threats that come along the way. I’m here to help you with that!

Where To Find Trident Rod (Temple Location)

To locate the new Desolate Deep cave, begin by finding the Red Buoy in the water. You can find this buoy directly north and behind the Sunstone Statue. It’s a bit of a swim, but keep heading in that direction, and you’ll spot it before long.

Once you reach the Red Buoy, you’ll need to purchase Advanced Diving Gear for 15,000 coins. This specialized gear functions similarly to the standard set but allows for much longer dive times—an essential feature for your quest to find the Aurora Totem.

After you’ve equipped the Advanced Diving Gear, dive straight down from the buoy, and you’ll soon arrive at the entrance to the Desolate Deep!

Make sure to equip your Diving Gear—flippers and a Tidal Breaker (if you have one) will be incredibly helpful for this. As you dive down, keep an eye out for a sign; when you see it, turn right.

There’s also a warning sign nearby—be careful! Avoid the mines, as they’ll explode if you get too close, and losing money isn’t fun.

Once you’re in the tunnel, you’ll encounter a fork. Follow it right and then take the next left. Just remember to steer clear of the mines along the way! Eventually, you’ll arrive at the Desolate Pocket area.

Once you’re there, regain some oxygen before proceeding; drowning down here would be inconvenient, to say the least.

As you continue, you’ll notice some crab traps—watch out for those as well!

Now, once you reach the bottom left of the underground area, look for a little corner next to the purple area. There’s a hole there—go ahead and drop down! Follow the path, and eventually, you’ll start rising.

Soon enough, you’ll arrive at the Trident Temple. Once you arrive at this area, you’ll need to meet a few requirements:

  • Five Relic Stones need to be placed on each pedestal. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to open the altar and claim the Trident Rod!
  • 100% Bestiary in The Cave—make sure you’ve explored the entire cave system before coming here.

Here are the stats for the Trident Rod: 20 Lure Speed, 100% Luck, 0% Resilience, and a capacity of 6,000 kg. Not too shabby, right? Is it worth sacrificing five Enchant Relics for it? I honestly can’t say for sure, but it’s still a solid choice.
