Genshin Impact: All Furnace of Fiery Embers Puzzle

Ready to tackle one of the coolest puzzles in the Ochkanatlan region of Genshin Impact? In this guide, I’ll take you step-by-step through the Furnace of Fiery Embers Puzzle—a series of challenges that’ll test your puzzle-solving skills while leading to awesome rewards. You’ll find five furnaces scattered across the region. Activating all of them unlocks a portal to a hidden platform above the clouds where a Luxurious Chest and a 4-star weapon await you!

All Furnace of Fiery Embers Puzzle

From the center area, head slightly northeast to find five glowing points that need to be activated. Interact with one, and you’ll see the message: “The Furnace of Fiery Embers has not been activated.”

Your mission? Activate all five furnaces across the area. This unlocks a portal to a hidden location high in the clouds, where you’ll claim awesome rewards! NOTE: These chests don’t count towards the chest completion guide, but they’re essential for unlocking all the Oculi in the region.

Furnace #1: South-West of Ochkanatlan

Teleport to the left waypoint in the area. From here, head downward to the northwest sigil marker to find the first furnace.

1. Interact with the sigil to enter the area.
2. The puzzle requires tossing a Relay Ball into goals using the Yumkasaurus transformation. Sounds too easy? It’s not.
   • Use the Grappling Hook to open blocking doors.
   • Throw the ball into the goal fast before the doors reset.
3. Once the first sigil activates, complete the left and right room puzzles.
   • Use Ball Path Converters to change the ball’s trajectory. Timing is everything here!
4. Finally, use the lowered platform to finish the right-side puzzle.

Furnace #2: North of Ochkanatlan

1. Scan the Inscribed Rings using Iktomisaur to open the entrance.
2. Inside, the floor collapses into a hidden area.
3. Solve puzzles by controlling Iktomisaur to align crystals with fire orbs.
   • For a higher jump, absorb wall graffiti.
4. Follow the sigil through layers of puzzles and enemies to complete this furnace.

Furnace #3: West of Ochkanatlan

1. Teleport to the waypoint west of Ochkanatlan. Look for a glowing elemental barrier blocking the entrance to the furnace. Defeat the Tepetlisaurus and its adorable (but feisty) babies.
2. Claim the Common Chest. The Tepetlisaurus will reveal a hidden area (and an achievement: “Clear the Area, Please!”).
3. Use the Tepetlisaurus to break Phlogiston rocks, which uncovers a deeper path.
4. Follow the sigils carefully:
   • First, hop on the elevator and descend to find a second sigil.
   • Ride the elevator up by activating it from outside, standing on the platform as it rises.
5. Follow the two sigils to finish the puzzle.

Furnace #4: East of Ochkanatlan

The fourth furnace is split between two islands: One furnace is on the top side of an island; the other is on the bottom side of another nearby island.

1. Head to the island far east of Ochkanatlan. Here, destroy all Flowlight Orbs with the Koholasaurus.
   • Glide towards the sky islands using the energy buffs scattered mid-air.
   • Collect floating energy blocks to sustain your flight.
2. On the first island, find the furnace and touch two sigils—one at the top and one at the bottom.
   • Activating a Spiritway transports you to a floating island where a Local Legend lurks. Ignore it for now (sorry, buddy!).
3. Interact with the sigil to teleport it back to the previous island.
4. Climb to the mountain’s peak to find the second sigil.

Furnace #5: South-East of Ochkanatlan

1. Teleport southeast of Ochkanatlan. Defeat the Abyss Mage to activate a button.
2. Locate the two sigils:
   • First, fly up the mountain using Qucusaur.
   • Second, find it beneath the waypoint.
3. Once both sigils return, activate the button and defeat the enemies in the challenge.
   • Reward: A Luxurious Chest!

Final Step: Unlock the Hidden Sky Platform

1. Return to the Original Location:
   • After activating all five furnaces, head back to the inscribed word in the central area.
2. Interact with the Inscription:
   • Doing so will teleport you above the clouds to a hidden sky platform.
3. Claim Your Rewards:
   • Open the Luxurious Chest for 10 Primogems and other treasures.
   • Claim your 4-star weapon reward (e.g., The Flute).
