There are quite a few collectables you can get in the new Genshin Impact 5.2 update. Using these collectables, you can eventually get some great rewards. One of these is the Purple Obsidian Ring that was added to the game.
You might be wondering how exactly you can get access to this ring. After all, the description doesn’t really reveal much. No need to worry, we have you sorted out! In this guide, we’ll show you exactly how you can get and use the Purple Obsidian Ring. Let’s get into it!
How to Get & Use Purple Obsidian Ring
The Purple Obsidian Ring is not something that you can just obtain directly. You will need to craft it with collectables, after which you’ll need to use it to unlock a secret spot.
Let’s go over the crafting process and the exact location where you can use it.
Crafting Purple Obsidian Ring
First up, you’ll need to get Purple Obsidian Fragments to be able to craft the ring. These fragments can be obtained by farming luxurious and precious chests in the Tezcatepetonco Range area of Genshin Impact.
We aren’t sure of the exact odds of you getting the fragments, and as far as we know, it is a random chance.
You’ll need x3 Purple Obsidian Fragments to be able to craft the Purple Obsidian Ring. Check out inventory as it is possible you already have some if you’ve been playing through the new update.
Once you have them, simply click the Craft option at the bottom. Doing so will get you the ring.
Using Purple Obsidian Ring
Now that you have the Purple Obsidian Ring, it is time to use it in the correct spot. The secret area you’re looking for can be accessed by going to the location shown on the map below.
Luckily, there is a Teleport already here just Southeast of the Masters of the Night Wind location.
From here, just go on straight and jump from the cliff shown below. After that glide down ahead, and immediately turn the camera around.
You should be able to spot the secret tribe cave where there is a bunch of treasure. It will be blocked off by a translucent barrier.
Approach this barrier and select the Activate option. This will allow you to use the Purple Obsidian Ring. Once that’s done, you’ll be able to pass through into the treasure trove.
Here, you can loot a bunch of 5 star artifacts, plenty of which provide some serious stat boosts!
