Before you make your daring escape with the Golden Idol through the jungle and ruins of the prologue in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, there are four hidden treasures (collectibles) just waiting to be discovered! I spent an hour running through the lush jungle, solving puzzles, and almost getting crushed by rolling boulders (don’t worry, I survived), so I’m here to share exactly how you can find all 4 collectibles and, of course, the Golden Idol itself!
The Golden Idol All Collectibles
Before making your daring escape with the Golden Idol in the Blood Temple area of India Jones and the Great Circle, the lush forest and ruins of the prologue have four hidden collectibles that are waiting to be discovered and collected. Here’s a breakdown to help you bag all 4 Collectibles and the Golden Idol:
- Warrior of the Clouds Book
- Chachapoyan Urn
- Chachapoyan Vase
- Stone Mace Head
Warrior of the Clouds Book (Optional)
Your adventure starts with a trek through a thick jungle. Follow the main path until you find an incline. Take a detour to the right, where a bushy patch hides a secret. Interact with it to reveal a creepy stone carving that sends one of your guides screaming into the jungle.
Keep going until you reach a stream. Go upstream, and there you go! Under a tent at the remains of Forrestall’s campsite lies your first collectible: a book titled Warrior of the Clouds.
Chachapoyan Urn
Head to the murky lake and veer left. Leap across the boulders, and follow the trail into a set of ruins. You can see the beautifully crafted Chachapoyan Urn nestled on the ground—an ancient pottery piece once used in burials!
Chachapoyan Vase
From the lake, this time go right toward the trees. Look for a stone structure covered in vines. Hidden within the farthest ruin near a boulder is the Chachapoyan Vase, another exquisite artifact from the past.
Stone Mace Head
This rare 7-pointed relic can be found close to the previous location. Seek out stone stairs near a vine-covered ruin. Climb up, and inside a stone structure to the left, you’ll find the Stone Mace Head resting on a rock.
The Golden Idol Puzzle
As Indy once said, “It’s not the years, honey. It’s the mileage.” Here’s your mileage guide to navigating the temple and solving the Golden Idol puzzle:
- Enter the Blood Temple: From Forrestall’s book, continue with your Peruvian guides. Inspect a dart near a tree, lift a fallen branch, and retrieve the final map piece from Satipo. Watch out for Barranca—your whip will come in handy here!
- Reach the Hall of the Golden Idol: Follow Satipo into the temple, clearing cobwebs and dodging traps. Use your whip to swing across gaps and avoid stepping into the light as you crouch along the walls.
- Solving the Puzzle: Here’s the tricky part: there are traps everywhere around the Golden Idol. Look for hexagonal tiles with circles in the middle, and use your torch to press them one by one. Each time you press the right one, the traps ahead will disarm, and you can slowly advance to claim the idol. It’s not as fast-paced as the movie scene, but the tension is real!
- The Iconic Grab: When you finally reach the Golden Idol, it’s time for the classic switcheroo! Adjust the weight of the sand, and boom, the idol is yours. But don’t get too comfortable, because the famous rolling boulder is just around the corner. Get ready to sprint for your life, jump gaps, and aim for the exit.
Wrapping Up
And that’s it! You’ve collected all four hidden treasures and made your daring escape with the Golden Idol in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, all while navigating a jungle of traps and the iconic rolling boulder. I can’t lie—this mission brought back so many memories of the Indiana Jones films, and I’m sure it’ll do the same for you. It’s not just about the collectibles and the relics; it’s about the thrill of the chase, the excitement of dodging death, and the stories you experience!
