In Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, you’ll come across a wide variety of mysteries that you can solve. Many of these will require you to solve puzzles that can be a bit confusing. One such puzzle is the A Snake in the Garden mystery.

A Snake in the Garden Guide
A Snake in the Garden is a mystery that you’ll come across in The Vatican area of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Specifically, you’ll come across it in the Apostalic Palace area. Keep in mind this is a Restricted area so you’ll need to be aware of enemies.
In this area, you’re looking for a specific note that you’ll need to pick to start the mystery. The exact location is shown on the map below.
The note should be lying on a table next to a Gargoyle. Make sure to pick it up as the first of two notes for the mystery.
When you pick it up, make sure to rotate it. On the back, you will see 4 symbols alongside their names. As the note on the front says, you’ll be following these symbols in their alphabetical order as opposed to the order they are listed in.
After that, make your way to the nearby bookcase. You should be able to spot it in the same room in the corner.
Here, you’ll be able to interact with books that have symbols on them, matching the back of the note. Be sure to pull on the books in the alphabetical order. The correct order is:
- Crown
- Triangle
- Wheel
- Sun.
If you do it in the correct order, a note with a thick wad of cash will appear from the side of the bookcase. Pick it up and you’ll get 120 pounds as cash. Additionally, there will be a second note in the form of Musollini’s Letter.
Read it and you’ll have finished the Snake in the Garden mystery.
