Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has plenty of side missions that will have you exploring historical locations. One such location is the Vatican where you’ll need to complete The Secret of Giants quest. As part of this quest, you’ll need to locate 10 Inscriptions.
This can be difficult, even with the map, as this area has a lot of verticality. So, in this guide, we’ll show you how you can get all the inscriptions. There’s a neat reward at the end too, so keep reading to find out how to get it. Let’s get into it.
All 10 Inscriptions In The Secret of Giants
Starting off, you’ll get The Secret of Giants as part of the main adventure in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. So, continue playing until you get the camera in the Vatican. From there, you’ll be asked to take 4 photos of Inscriptions. You can take any.
After that, you can freely explore and take pictures for the rest of them to complete the 10 inscriptions.
Inscription Location #1
For the first inscription, head to the small area that is to the right of the main Belvedere Courtyard. The exact location is shown in the image below.
Enter through the archway here and you’ll find yourself in a small garden with workers all around. Go to the end of this garden and look to the right. You’ll see the first inscription there.
Take your camera out and snap your first picture.
Inscription Location #2
Next, you’ll be making your way to the middle of the Belvedere Courtyard. The location is shown on the map below.
Here, there will be a large fountain in the middle. The inscription will be on the fountain. You might have to actually get your feet wet and step inside to take the picture!
Inscription Location #3
The next inscription is a bit tricky. For this one, you’ll be heading to the south side of the Belvedere Courtyard as shown below.
When facing south, you’ll see a large poster of Mussolini. Go to the back of the poster and you’ll see a tall scaffolding at the back going all the way up. Use the scaffolding to climb to the top.
After a long climb, look towards the right. You should see the inscription on the wall there.
Inscription Location #4
Starting from the third inscription location, go to the other side i.e. left from the top of the scaffolding. Over here, you’ll see another smaller scaffolding. Use it to climb up.
When you reach the top, you’ll see an open window. On the other side, there will be another window. Go through both sets of windows and climb out on the other end.
From here, look to the right and you’ll see a wooden wall that you can climb with your whip. Use it to reach the top.
After climbing up, look to the left. You should see the fourth inscription on the wall.
Inscription Location #5
The fifth inscription can be found by heading to the Excavation Site at the Vatican. Specifically, you want to go to the top left corner of the square when looking at the map.
In one of the corners of the site, hidden in the shadows, you should be able to make it out. Take a picture of it and you’re already halfway through the quest!
Inscription Location #6
For this next inscription, you’ll need to have completed the A Savage Discovery fieldwork mission. This is because it allows you to unlock the basement. For reference, the location of the basement is shown below.
Enter the basement and go all the way to the end. On a wall to the right, you should be able to find the inscription. It’s quite dark so be wary as you can easily miss it.
Inscription Location #7
Next up, we’ll be heading to the Fountain of Confession in the Vatican. While facing the fountain, go to the left side and up the small set of stairs.
When you reach the top of the stairs, look to the right, You’ll find the inscription on the wall there. Pretty simple.

Inscription Location #8
This next inscription will require you to complete the A Mad Priest fieldwork in the Vatican area. Doing so will give you access to a tunnel. Inside of this tunnel, you will be able to find the inscription.
The exact location of it within the tunnel is shown below.
Inscription Location #9
As before, you’ll need to have unlocked the area for the next Inscription. For this one, you’ll need to simply progress with the Stolen Cat Mummy Adventure to unlock the area. To get to this area, start by going to the location shown on the map.
From here, enter the building as shown below and go up the stairs. From here, enter the doorway on the left and continue going up.
When you reach the top, you’ll see a fence with a hole inside. Crouch through the hole here and drop down using your whip.
This is an area where you’ll have already fought some enemies. On one of the walls, you should find the ninth inscription. Just one more to go!
Inscription Location #10
The final inscription will require you to go to the courtyard near the Apostolic Library. To unlock this area, you’ll need to progress through the Stolen Cat Mummy adventure. The location is shown on the map below.
Once here, you’ll need to go up some stairs to the entrance of one of the towers. The entrance is shown below.
When you reach the entrance, look on the left side of the door. Here, you’ll find the final inscription.
Final Reward
Now that you have all the pictures of inscriptions taken, return to Antonio so that you can turn in The Secret of Giants fieldwork. As a reward, he will give you an Ancient Relic.
