Anime Last Stand just released the new Solo Leveling update that has brought new content to the game. This not only includes new units and mechanics, but also brand new gate portals. These gate portals can be incredibly challenging but the rewards are certainly worth it.
If you’re struggling with these portals, we’ve got you covered! In this guide, we’ll show you exactly how you can beat these gate portals reliably, including the recommended team and strategy. Without further delay, let’s get into it!
How To Beat Gate Portals
There are 6 tiers of Gate Portals with the higher tiers being more difficult, but giving you better rewards. The team and strategy that we’ll discuss in this guide should allow you to get through any of them.
We still recommend that you play these gate portals with a duo or trio to make it easier. But it is still very much possible solo too.
Recommended Team
The units that we recommend for the Gate Portals are the following:
- Ichiko
- Pride (Escanor)
- Flame Breather (Rengoku)
- Georno
- Idol (Oshy)
- Gremmy.
You can tweak this time a bit too according to your preferences if you want. For example, you can replace Flame Breather with Sun Jin Woo as he is incredibly strong. You can also change Ichiko and Gremmy for another unit, if you feel you can do better.
However, there aren’t many replacements for Georno as his slows are a big help.
Recommended Strategy
When you load into the gate portal, start by making your way to the rock shown below. This is a great location to place your units because it enables a lot of farming.
It’s also a spot where the three paths connect into one, allowing you to fight all units on these paths.
The first thing you’re going to do is place Oshy. This is so that you can immediately start making money and take advantage of the fact that she produces more money when there are other units nearby.
After you have enough money, immediately place Flame Breather down. This unit is going to be your main damage dealer in destroying the units and will easily start clearing them.
If you’re having trouble at this part, you should place Ichiko first followed by Georno. This is because Georno will slow down the units allowing you to deal with them better. Placing down Ichiko will give Flame Breather a Crit and Damage buff that will help even more.
After that, you can place Gremmy as he will provide different effects to help out the team.
Once all these units are on the ground, you can place Escanor. The damage that Escanor provides will help you deal with the increasing waves that will be coming out at this point. It will give you time to start upgrading your Oshy.
When Oshy has been fully upgraded, start upgrading Escanor until you reach his AoE. This AoE will help you with the later waves and will have you pretty much set until the Gate Portal is completed!
