If there’s one thing I’ve learned from playing way too many matches as Jason in Forsaken Roblox, it’s that he’s way stronger than most people give him credit for. Some players even think he needs a nerf, but personally? I think he’s in the best spot he’s ever been. His speed, massive hitboxes, and deadly abilities make him a terrifying force in every match.
And let’s be real—there’s nothing more satisfying than shutting down an overconfident survivor who thinks they can juke you, only to land a perfect Behead and watch them panic. But Jason isn’t just about brute force. If you want to maximize his potential, you need to master his abilities, pressure survivors at the right moments, and outplay stunners before they even see it coming.
I’ve been maining Jason for a long time, and in this guide, I’ll break down everything you need to know—from his best strategies to the tricks that will make you unstoppable. Let’s dive in!
How To Play Jason Complete Guide
When used correctly, I feel like Jason is actually really strong —like, extremely good—and is probably one of the best killers in the game right now. Yes, I’m saying it: Jason is one of the best killers in the game! His abilities allow him to counter stunners, chase down survivors quickly, and apply pressure efficiently. Some players even think he needs a nerf, but personally, I think he’s in a great spot.
As a Jason main, I can confidently say he’s in his best state right now for two major reasons:
- His Behead slowdown was reduced to 2 seconds (instead of 3.5 seconds). This makes his attacks feel even more fluid and punishing.
- Other characters have been nerfed. Notably, 1x1x1x1 is no longer overpowered due to his damage nerf, and John Doe’s speed was reduced from 27.5 to 27. He also only gains 1 speed boost upon being stunned instead of 2. With these nerfs, Jason stands out as the fastest killer with massive hitboxes, making him extremely difficult to juke. (C00lkid is the only one who matches his speed.)
Before this update, Jason was weak, and 1x1x1x1 was ridiculously overpowered. Now, Jason is a force to be reckoned with! So, here’s everything you need to know to be able to use Jason to his full potential!

Jason’s Abilities
Passive – Mute
Jason’s passive allows him to sneak up on survivors due to his smaller terror radius. This is great for catching people off guard, especially when they’re working on a generator. A common Jason trick is to wait around a corner and ambush an unsuspecting survivor.
Basic Attack (Slash)
- Jason’s basic attack deals 20 damage (25 when enraged) and applies a bleed effect for 5 seconds.
- While enraged, this attack gains a lunge, making it even deadlier.
Behead
- Jason lunges forward with a horizontal swing, making the survivor helpless for 14 seconds (they can’t use perks or abilities).
- Jason suffers a slight 2-second slowdown after using this ability.
- When enraged, the cooldown reduces from 18.5 to 12 seconds, and the damage increases from 20 to 35.
- Behead is fantastic for punishing stunners like Guest or Shetty. If you land it on them, they can’t use their abilities, making chases much easier.

Gashing Wound
- Jason grabs the survivor and unleashes a combo attack, dealing 50 damage (70 if enraged).
- This attack is perfect for punishing survivors who mistime their blocks.
- Tip: If you see a guest, try purposely hitting their block and immediately use Raging Pace (since it grants invincibility). The guest will be left vulnerable, allowing you to follow up with Gashing Wound for free damage!
Raging Pace
- Jason enters a rage mode, increasing his walk speed to 19.5 for 14 seconds.
- The aura of the nearest survivor is revealed until the rage ends (lingering for 2 extra seconds).
- Jason becomes immune to stuns, and his stamina regenerates but is capped at 75.
- Tip: You can use Raging Pace to force survivors to drain their stamina faster while yours regenerates. This is great for maintaining pressure, especially if a survivor is looping you. While good survivors can counter this with proper stamina management, most players will struggle.
- Another Trick: If a survivor is about to stun you, you can parry them using Raging Pace. Unlike Guest1337’s parries, nobody expects a killer to counter-stun, so you can punish them hard with an enraged Gashing Wound!

Tips and Tricks
- Always pursue one target at a time. Since Jason has relatively low damage per hit, it’s better to focus on securing one kill rather than spreading damage across multiple survivors.
- If you’re running low on stamina during a chase, use Raging Pace. This helps you recover stamina while still keeping up with the survivor.
- Use Raging Pace near the end of the match. It can help track down the last few survivors and secure a win.
- Behead can hit multiple survivors at once. This is especially useful when they’re grouped around a generator.
- Against new players, run past them and hit Gashing Wound. Many beginners run in straight lines, making them easy targets.
- Punish overconfident stunners. Some survivors will assume they can outplay you with stuns—don’t let them! Behead or Raging Pace can shut them down.

Wrap-Up
I hope this guide helps you understand why Jason is one of the best killers in Forsaken right now. His speed, hitboxes, and abilities make him a serious threat in any match. While some survivors can still counter him with skillful play, most won’t be able to keep up. If you master Jason’s abilities and know when to use them, you’ll dominate matches with ease.
Before wrapping up, I want to say: have fun playing Jason while he’s at his peak! As the game evolves, players will eventually find new ways to counter him, so enjoy the ride while it lasts.
