Dead Rails is quickly picking up steam and is on track to be one of Roblox’s top games at the moment despite still being in early alpha development. If you are struggling to get a lot of money in your run, you can make a whole sack of it with a trip to the castle. In this guide, we will give you a few tips to keep in mind to make this a whole lot easier.

How to Clear the Castle Guide

The castle is found at around the 38,000 to 40,000 meter area, so it is around halfway through the entire map as of writing this. Because of how far it is, you have plenty of time to save up money for supplies and weapons on the way there.

Our only tip here is to kill as many werewolves and vampires along the way, as well as any outlaws if you encounter any. Their bodies are worth a lot of money at either the trading post or sheriff’s office (for outlaw corpses) at a fort.

You can weld their bodies to your train if you do not have space in your sack. Make sure to loot towns that you encounter along the tracks as well. Just earn as much money as possible and try to get ranged weapons and ammunition for them.

Ideally, you want to get a rifle and a shotgun, or at the very least just one of the two with a lot of ammo as well. On top of that, you might want to buy armor at the general store, though there will be times where they do not have any in stock.

Dead Rails selling items

So, to sum it up, before you get to the castle, make sure to check the following buildings and buy these items:

  • Doctor Building – Here, you can get snake oil to heal yourself without waiting for it to happen naturally. Bandages are also essential if you have a team, as it will let you revive them when downed.
  • General Store – Check around for armor that you can equip. You may want to buy sheets and barbed wire for your train if you are still far from the castle.
  • Weapon Store – Buy a rifle or shotgun, or both if you can afford it. You will need a lot of ammo for them, as the castle will have loads of enemies.Any of the handguns are good and cheap, but you have land a lot of headshots.

Once you are ready, keep traveling until you see the castle along the train tracks. You can’t miss it, as it is incredibly large and has a unique exterior with towers on its corners. When you know where it is, walk over there and start clearing out the enemies.

One handy trick is to lure them to the front door, as most enemies will get stuck there, especially the large werewolves. There are no real special enemies here, just the regular monsters you encounter at night.

That is really all there is to it. Just make sure to do it at day time, because clearing this at night can be a pain due to how enemies will constantly spawn outside as well. Inside, you are going to find a lot of loot.

Stuff you will find include a bunch of valuables purely for selling, some ammunition for various guns, weapons, turrets, and more. There is also a Vampire Knife that you can loot in one of the rooms. This is a unique weapon that has a fast attack speed and is only available through the castle.

Dead Rails castle and players clearing it

When you are done looting the whole castle, just leave and continue on with your journey. You probably will not have any issues with money or ammo once you have cleared it, because it is flooded with good stuff. The monsters you killed can also be sold at the trading post, netting you even more money!

Take note that this is far from the end of the road, though. So, if you are trying to get to the finish line and escape, which is how you truly “win” in this game, make sure to reinforce your train using the riches you have just earned!
