In Dead Rails, which is the hot new Roblox game right now, and with new players flooding in, there is no shortage of people who are struggling to make money and build up their train. In this guide, we will go over a few quick tips on how to make a lot of money in the game, which you and your team (if any) can then use to upgrade your gear and train.

How to Make Money & Build the Best Train + Vampire Guide

First up, the best way to start making money is to simply earn enough first to buy a gun from a weapon store. With a ranged weapon and a decent amount of ammo, you can very easily clear towns throughout your journey, which will then let you get away with a ton of loot.

Each of the buildings around a town can contain various statues, paintings, and more that you can sell at the next stop. On top of this, killing vampires, werewolves, and even outlaws can net you a lot of money, as their bodies can be sold at a trading post or sheriff’s office.

NOTE: Vampires spawn when a blood moon (red) rises. These things can be annoying to deal with if you do not have a gun yet, so keep the train going until you reach a safe point. You don’t have to, but it will make your life a whole lot easier.

Save money on fuel by killing animals or zombies along the way too. Their bodies, although not valuable in terms of money, are essentially free fuel that you can dump in your train. Weld a few of them to your train for emergencies if you want to.

One thing to look out for while looting towns is a bank. These contain a vault that has a lot of bars, which you can sell at a trading post for a lot of money. To open these, you need to kill a zombie wearing a hat. They drop the code needed to open the town’s vault.

Building Your Train

You need to build up your train in order to survive the journey, especially as you approach the end point at tens of thousands of meters away. Making a train that can withstand all enemies is actually really simple.

Seriously, do not overthink it. Just keep making money and buy some sheets of metal and barbed wire, then place them all around the train in a way that makes sense and still allows you to enter it smoothly.

If you want, you can cover the entire trailer at the back and use the front of the train to get on it, though this can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. Just make sure to surround the train in reinforcements to keep yourself safe, especially at night.

One thing to note is that it is entirely safe to stay at a fort for a few days. These have their own turrets for defense, so you can linger around and build up your train and buy supplies for a decently long amount of time.

Just make sure to leave after 2 or 3 days, as the turrets defending the fort will eventually run out of ammo if they keep firing at enemies. You can also supposedly steal their ammo if you need it, though you usually do not have to do this.

And that is really all you need to do in order to make a lot of money and build a train that can survive the harsh nights of Dead Rails. If you are playing with a team, this should not even really be an issue as the extra hands will make it easier to defend your train without too many walls attached to it.

Either way, just make sure that your train has a few bulletproof metal sheets for cover, as outlaws will become a huge problem as you approach the end point. Barbed wire and torches are completely optional, but the former will save you a bit of ammo in the long run!
