If you love a good treasure hunt with a mechanical twist, then tracking down Muff’s Auto-Lockers in World of Warcraft: The War Within is right up your alley. These electrified chests are scattered across the Undermine, and if you’re aiming for the Nine-Tenths of the Law achievement (or just want some cool loot), you’ll need to find and unlock all five.

One of the trickier ones to reach is the Hovel Hill Auto-Locker, but don’t worry—I’ve got your back! There might be other ways to get there, but this is the method that worked for me. Let’s get started!

Muff’s Auto-Locker Hovel Hill Location

Unlike some of the other Muff’s Auto-Lockers, the Hover Hill Muff’s Auto-Locker is just tucked in between two buildings in coordiantes: /way 23.82 45.38 in the southwest part of Hover Hill. This one contains the Gorillian Fork.

Each Auto-Locker contains a unique item, and once you gather all five, you can combine them into an Inoperative Gorillion, which starts a quest. Take this to Ditty Fuzeboy to claim your reward! (Ditty also offers six other battle pets in exchange for Miscellaneous Mechanica, so be sure to check out what else they have!)

Wrap-Up

And that’s one more Auto-Locker checked off your list! Hopefully, this guide made tracking down the Hovel Hill chest a little easier. If you’re hunting down the rest, keep an eye out for tricky spots and remember—each one gets you closer to that shiny Inoperative Gorillion. Got any other tips or alternate routes? Drop them in the comments!
