Disney Dreamlight Valley features new quests added as part of the free Tales of Agrabah update added to the game. Most of these quests center around Jasmine and Aladdin and her interactions with everyone else. You can actually get a friendship quest for her too in the form of Hot and Cold.
As part of the Hot And Cold quest, you will need to go to various spots and locate symbols – among other objectives. This can be quite confusing as some of the symbols are well hidden. So, in this guide, we’ll show you how to complete the quest from start to finish. Let’s get into it!
Hot And Cold Quest Guide
The Hot And Cold quest is the third friendship quest that you can get with Jasmine. You get offered this quest when you reach Friendship Level 7 with her.
To start this quest off, you will need to go speak with Elsa.

Find Else In Ice Cavern
After you speak with Elsa, you will need to go to her Ice Cavern. You can find the Ice Cavern by heading to the following location near the Frosted Heights.
When you arrive here, go to the indicated cave and enter inside.
Make your way to the back of the cavern and you will find Elsa. Talk to her and she will tell you to take pictures of the Pedestal Symbols. These can be found right behind her in the cavern.
Try to get both of the symbols in the same picture so that you don’t have to take multiple. Once that’s done, you’ll be given the task of taking pictures of 5 Frosted Heights Symbols and 5 Sunlit Plateau Symbols.
Frosted Heights Symbol Locations
Starting off, let’s look at where you can find the symbols in Frosted Heights. Make your way there as it is right next to the cavern. These symbols are represented by an ice or snowflake icon.
Keep in mind you can take the pictures of the symbols in any order.
Frosted Heights Symbol #1 And #2
To start off, head to the location indicated on the map below in Frosted Heights.
You should spot the symbol on the wall between two rocks. Take a picture of it and the symbol should disappear.
Look towards the nearby tree and you should be able to spot the second symbol nearby too. Go to it and take a picture.
Frosted Heights Symbol #3
Next, make your way to the top right corner of the Frosted Heights map.
You’ll find the symbol on a large boulder near some golden rocks.
Frosted Heights Symbol #4
For the fourth symbol, head to the north side of the river in Frosted Heights.
The symbol will be hidden on the mouth of the river opening. It’s much more visible if you look at it from the right side.
Frosted Heights Symbol #5
The final symbol for this location can be found by going towards the bridge shown on the map.
Look towards the river just where it is dropping in a waterfall. You should be able to take a picture of it from the bridge.
Once that’s taken care of, make your way to the Sunlit Plateau for the rest of the symbols. Halfway there!
Sunlit Plateau Symbol Locations
You’ll also need to take pictures of the symbols in the Sunlit Plateau. These are represented by a sun icon. As before, you take the photos in any order.
Sunlit Plateau Symbol #1 And #2
Start by heading to the following location on the Sunlit Plateau, towards the top right.
When you arrive here, you should be able to see the first symbol on a rock towards the left. Take a picture of it.
From here, look to the right side and turn back, where there is a small fire. The second symbol will be tucked away in a corner near some trees.

After that, go towards the top left of the Sunlit Plateau, where the ground elevated a bit.
When you arrive here, you should be able to see the third symbol on a rock.
Sunlit Plateau Symbol #4
Next, head to the pond that you should be able to find nearby. Here is its location on the map.
Inside the pond, look towards the edge and you should be able to make it out. Take a picture of it too!
Sunlit Plateau Symbol #5
The final symbol can be found towards the bottom right of the Sunlit Plateau.
One of the rocks that are on the border of this area will have the symbol on it. Take a picture of it and you should be done with all the symbol photos you needed!
Grab Ice Key
For the next objective, all you need to do is return to the Ice Cavern where the Pedestals were. When you arrive there, you should see that the chest has now melted between the Pedestals.
Open the chest and retrieve the Ice Key from inside. After that, talk to Jasmine and head to her and Aladdin’s house.
Follow Trail Of Petals
When you go to Jasmine and Aladdin’s House, you’ll need to examine the Enchanted Flower. However, something isn’t right… This is because the Enchanted Flower is actually missing.
So, after a few seconds, the quest will automatically change and you’ll need to talk to Jasmine about it. After that, follow her to the Plaza.
Next, you’ll need to follow the trail of petals. This part can be a bit frustrating because the petals are actually quite far apart. But nonetheless, by looking around you should be able to find them.
The trail will actually lead you to the center of the Glade of Trust. You can go there directly if you want by going to the following location.
The trail actually ends at the Giant Willow Tree. So, make sure to enter inside. Confront Mother Gothel on the inside and you’ll be able to retrieve the Enchanted Flower.
Unlock Secret Journal
Next, return to Jasmine and Aladdin’s house, and the Enchanted Flower will be back where it belongs. Interact with the Enchanted Flower and place the Ice Key inside.
Doing so will unlock the secret journal and you’ll be able to pick it up. Bring the journal to Jasmine and talk to her. Finish the conversation with her and you’ll have successfully completed the quest!
