How to Unlock V2 Kagune

To unlock a Kagune, you need 5K RC Cells. Initially, your Kagune is unstable, meaning it has no skills and requires Hunter to activate. Once you reach B+ Rank, your Kagune stabilizes and becomes combat-ready.

Before evolving, your Kagune must reach at least B+ Rank. To rank up, focus on killing and consuming NPCs, humans, and rival Ghouls while maintaining your hunger.

Not all Kagunes have a V2. Here are the ones currently confirmed to evolve:

• Legendary Kagunes:
  • Ken
  • Takizawa
  • Noro
• Common Kagunes:
  • Wing
  • Nishiro

No Rare Kagunes have a V2 yet.

Collecting Kagune Fragments

First, you need to get a fragment specific to your Kagune type. You’ll need 20-30 fragments (estimate). You can obtain these from chests, which you get by defeating bosses. Here’s a breakdown of which fragment each Kagune requires:

• Kokaku (Armor-Type) – Example: Beaked (Kokaku Fragment)
• Bikaku (Tail-Type) – Example: Nishio (Bikaku Fragment)
• Ukaku (Wing-Type) – Example: Wing (Ukaku Fragment)
• Rinkaku (Tentacle-Type) – Example: Yamori (Rinkaku Fragment)

Collecting RC Cells

Your Kagune requires RC Cells to evolve. These can be obtained by hunting NPCs, high-rank players, or consuming fragments.

Best Ways to Farm RC Cells:

• Hunt NPCs & High-Rank Players – The stronger they are, the more RC cells they drop.
• Eat Fragments – Consuming fragments gives you RC cells (e.g., a Rinkaku Fragment can give ~22K RC).
• Avoid Death – If a player kills you, you lose RC cells, so stay alert!

RC Cell Requirements:

For Kaneki’s Kagune, you’ll also need a Kakuhou, which is a special evolution requirement.

Completing Hard Boss Quests

To maximize your drop rates for Kagune Sacs (consumable materials used for evolution) and Fragments, you need to complete hard boss quests. Here’s why:

• Hard Missions = 100% drop rate
• Medium Missions = ~50% drop rate
• Easy Missions = No drops (so avoid these!)

Head to the quest board near Anteiku and grab CCG Boss missions. These provide the best rewards, and a great tip is to let bosses fight each other while you wait to collect the drops. You can get various fragments (Rinkaku, Ukaku, etc.), Kagune sacs, and XP from these boss fights. Just keep repeating the process!

Devour a Ghoul

After gathering 200K+ RC cells, you need to consume another Ghoul (by pressing Ctrl + B on a knocked NPC or player) with at least 1/3rd of your RC count to trigger the evolution.

• If you have 90K RC, target a B+ or B- rank Ghoul since they usually carry high RC cells.
• Once you do this, a notification will pop up confirming the evolution process.

Unlocking & Activating V2 Kagune + Unlocking Abilities

Once you meet all requirements, you’ll officially unlock V2 Kagune! Here’s how to use it:

• CTRL + 2 – Activate V2 Kagune
• CTRL + 1 – Switch back to V1

This lets you swap between versions based on your playstyle and situation.

All Ghouls must progress through ranks to unlock abilities and upgrades. Here’s the rank system, from weakest to strongest:
