Atomfall gives players the freedom of choice to undertake quests in a variety of different ways – allowing you to affect the outcomes of different quests. The ending to the game is no different and it can go in vastly different directions based on what you choose. Some of these endings will require you to destroy Oberon. But how exactly can you destroy Oberon to get things underway? Not to worry, we have you covered! In this guide, we’ll show you all the steps you need to follow. Let’s dive into it!

How to Destroy Oberon

WARNING: Possible spoilers ahead!

There are a number of requirements you’ll have to have fulfilled prior to actually destroying Oberon in Atomfall:

  • Unlock all doors that lead to the Interchange in Slatten Dale, Wyndham Village, Casterfell Woods, and Skethermoor
  • Turn on the central processor of the Interchange
  • Make sure that Data Stores Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta are powered up
  • Make sure to power up the central processor using the signal redirector
  • Pull the lever in the central processor.

Once this is done, you’ll be able to enter the Windscale Plant and get things underway. After that, we’ll go through all the steps you need to follow to destroy Oberon!

Reach Oberon Dig Site

Once you enter the Windscale Plant, navigate through it by going all the way to the end. You’ll come across plenty of enemies here, so make sure you are prepared to fight your way through.

Navigating to the Dig Site is fairly straightforward as all you really need to do is go forward. Eventually, you’ll come across the large set of doors that you can interact with to enter the Oberon Dig Site.

Arm Four Explosives

Once you reach the Oberon Dig Site, you’ll find yourself in a large area which has Oberon in the center. There are multiple choices you can make here, depending on which ally’s ending you want to get. For some endings, you can even extract a sample from oberon.

In our case, since we’re destroying Oberon, our goal will be to arm the four explosives. You can find these four explosives pretty easily around the site, as they are marked by large ‘Danger Explosives!’ symbols.

Be warned though, as there are enemies near the explosives that will try to stop you – which includes robots!

The first two explosives can be found close to each other by going to the right after you enter the Oberon Dig Site.

For the next set of explosives, head to the other side of the Oberon Dig Site. For one of them, you’ll need to go up the stairs.

Pull Self Destruct Lever

Once you have armed all the four explosives, go up the stairs to the facility that can be found right next to the Oberon.

Enter the facility and make your way to the Control Room.

Once you enter the control room, you should see some consoles with a large window facing the Oberon. One of these levers will have the Self Destruct Lever on it.

Pull this lever to start the self destruct process.

Leave Area

After you pull the self destruct lever, alarms will start blaring. This is your cue to leave the Oberon Dig Site. Make sure to hurry back to the same doors through which you entered the Oberon Dig Site.

From here, things will unveil depending on the choice you made for the ending. But we leave that for you to uncover!

That’s everything you need to know about destroying Oberon in Atomfall. This is by far the simpler of the choices you can make for the ending, as all you really need to do is arm some explosives. There are still quite a few steps ahead, but it will depend on which companion you chose to ally with. It is still simpler than extracting the sample from Oberon.
