Spider-Man Remastered has just become available to Steam Deck Users as well! It is a fantastic game with stunning visuals and performance. How do you get the best out of it though? Well, in this guide we will be talking about the best settings and how the FSR compares to the standard mode. Let’s get started.

Steam Deck Best Settings | FSR 2.0 vs Standard – Spider-Man Remastered

30 FPS Easy Mode

The best and easiest mode that you can do from the Steam Deck is the capped 30 fps mode on the steam deck itself. You can set up the limit to a maximum of 30 fps and set the following settings:

Texture Quality – Medium
Texture Filtering – 2x Anisotropic
Shadow Quality – Low
Ambient Occlusion – SSAO
Screen Space Reflections – On
Level of Detail – Medium
Traffic Density – Medium
Crowd Density – Medium
Hair Quality – Medium
Weather Practice Quality – Medium
Depth of Field – Medium
Bloom – On
Lens Flares – On
Chromatic Aberration – On
Vignette – On
Motion Blur Strenght – 0
Upscale – Off
Dynamic Resolution Scaling – Off
Anti Aliasing – TAA

With these settings you will get a rock solid 30 fps per second, only at times when you might be high up in the sky, you will see a 28 or 29 maybe. Extremely solid. Quick and easy best settings will be simply the Medium settings in-game.

30 FPS Best Mode

Do the same exact settings as shown above for the previous mode. Then just change these up:

Texture Quality – High
Crowd and Traffic Density – drop it to Low

This mode looks a lot better. You will actually see how much clearer the town looks and the details are much more enjoyable to watch now. The only downside is of course the number of people and cars that you might be seeing on the streets.

FSR 2.0

We are more than excited to see the FSR system implemented in this game, however, it doesn’t really make a huge amount of change and difference. You have modes of Huge and Balanced and even between them, you won’t see a big change.

As you can clearly see it does not hold up at all. The quality of the FSR is really not recommended at all for usage.

The Best Setting – 4- FPS Best

This is one of the best settings and what you should generally use for your game as well. You will place all the Medium Settings as normal and just change these up:

Upscale – Off
Depth of Field – Low
Bloom – Off
Lens Flares – Off
Chromatic Abberation – Off
Vignette – Off
Motion Blur Strenght – 0
Crown and Traffic Density – Medium or Low
Texture Quality – High

Make sure to cap the fps limit to 40, you won’t need to go any more than that. This 40 number will be easily achieved on the ground, but while swinging you will be around the 30 to 40 mark.
