After the new Tundra update for Rune Slayer on Roblox, we have seen a whole host of changes, alongside brand new additions. With new weapons, races, armors and more – we now have even more options for builds. As a result, the mage class can also benefit from this so that you can do so much more to your existing mage class. If you’d like to make your mage class even better – not to worry, we have you covered! In this guide, we’ll be going over everything you need for the best mage build. With that said, let’s dive in!

Best Mage Build Guide

For the mage build, we’ll be going over the best races, abilities, spells, armor, weapons, runes and more that you can utilize. We’ll go over various options so that you can use the ones that are achievable.

Keep in mind that we’ll be using the Warlock class for this mage build.

We do recommend that you start leveling up so that you can get everything needed for the build. Our level up progression guide can help give you a good road map.

Best Race

The best race for the Mage by far is the Infernum Race, which has a 1% chance to drop. This is mainly due to the following racial passives you get with it in Rune Slayer:

  • -5% Holy Resistance
  • +10% Heat Resistance
  • +1 Luck.

Keep in mind that you will not be able to join the Holy Sect, and will remain a Demon.

Alongside these passives, you can also get an ability depending on the evolution that you get. These evolutions are the two horned demon, four horned demon and six horned demon.

When you reach Level 25, you will be able to select between these evolutions.

The best evolution for the mage is definitely the four horned demon as he gets a +10% Magic Buff. Additionally, you also get the Hells Chains ability that activates when you use Hell’s Embrace – which does a decent amount of damage.

We do understand that getting the Infernum race is very luck based. So, here are some alternate races that you can also select for the best mage build:

  • Seraphim (any evolution)
    • 1% chance to drop
  • Vampire
    • 2% chance to drop
    • Can also be acquired by killing vampires for Blood Vials
  • Half Golem with Crystal Body Evolution
    • 5.3% chance to drop
  • Elf
    • 4.25% chance to drop

So, if you’re having trouble with the higher tier races, you can try to pull the less rare ones!

Spells (Abilities)

Most of the spells that you’ll be choosing for the mage build will depend on your choice of staff. The staffs that we’ll be looking at are the Revenant’s Grasp and the Armageddon. We’ll be looking at them in detail later in the guide.

With that said, here is the breakdown of the spells you can take with the Mage Build:

  • First Spell
    • Fire Slice
      • Choose this if you’re using Armageddon
      • Excellent fire damaging ability as long as mobs have big hitboxes

Spider pet Rune Slayer

That’s everything you need to know for the best mage build in Rune Slayer. This is probably the most efficient you can make this build right now. We do expect to get even more armor sets and staff in the future – which will likely change the build as well. Most of these build items should be attainable too as long as you’ve progressed enough with the story.
