The global release of Persona 5: The Phantom X is finally out now, and players are already trying to get the best units they can get their hands on through banners. However, a good chunk of players are quite new to the game, or Persona fans that aren’t really familiar with gacha games. As a result, you might be struggling to figure out which are the best units you should reroll for – since there is such a huge pool of them. Best Units to Reroll For
Starting off, you may be wondering how rerolling actually works in Persona 5: The Phantom X. Currently, you can only reroll through mobile accounts or emulators. To do this, you can simply create different accounts and roll for units with them.
Once an account gets the units you want, you can bind that account and receive those units.
However, if you’re not comfortable doing so, do not worry. Currently, rerolling is not absolutely necessary as you can get most of the best units through the standard banner and selectors.

With that said, here are the best units you’ll want to reroll for.
Unit #1 – Joker
Joker is an excellent AoE DPS unit that does a lot of curse damage. He can also proc an extra turn when he can curse more enemies leading to even more damage. However, the main reason why he is so good is that he scales well into later patches – as seen in other regions.
For example, he synergizes really well with Chord (coming later to Global) allowing her to get an extra highlight attack. On top of that, his Highlight does a lot of damage, especially based on his stacks. In this way, he can do a move, use his highlight, and then use his highlight again for devastating damage.
With his AoE DPS damage, he can do damage over time, which works really well for larger mobs that you see towards the end game content. Since he’s a limited four star unit, you should definitely be trying to pull him!
Unit #2 – Cursed Rin (Yaoling Li)
Cursed Rin is the next unit that you should try to pull, since she synergizes well with Joker. She is an excellent debuff unit that does a lot of curse damage as well. On top of that, she can amplify curse, apply a lot of curses and apply the Debuff effect – preventing enemies from using their skills.
She is available on the Standard Banner as a five star unit so you can roll for her and hope you get her alongside Joker.
Unit #3 – Fleuret (Seiji Shiratori)
Fleuret is by far the single target DPS unit in the game so far. As a four star unit, you have a good chance of getting him from the various banner pools – since limited and standard banner pools allow you to get random four star units.
Additionally, he is also available in Joker’s banner pool as one of the four star units you can get.
Besides doing a lot of damage, he can apply the Winded Debuff that lowers the enemy’s defense. His Highlight and Skill 3 will absolutely decimate most enemies.
Unit #4 – Ann Takamaki
Ann and her persona Carmen are one of the best DPS AoE units in the game. The reason why she is so good is that she applied the burn effect, which enables damage over time. On top of that, she synergizes well with all the free to play units currently in the Global release.
The team we recommend using her with is the following:
- Kiyoshi Kurotani
- Lufei
- Kayo Tomiyama
You can get Ann through the Beginner Banner, as you can select a unit after 50 pulls where she is one of them. Additionally, you can also get a selector by completing the Beginner’s Guide Book and using it to get her.

Unit #5 – Leon (Leo Kamiyama)
Leon is by far the best buffer in the game currently – and is still used in other regions. He even synergizes well with later patches due to his Power of Friendship stacks. By using his skills, he can get these stacks.
Each stack allows him to increase an ally’s Crit DMG by 45%. On top of that, Power of Friendship also increases ATK allowing your team to do a lot of damage.
You should definitely be on the lookout for his 4 star Kaidol contract whenever you try to pull him in standard banners. He’s also worth doing rerolls for allowing you to have a great start to the game.
Unit #6 – Puppet (Miyu Sahara)
Puppet is an great defensive pick for a Navigator in Persona 5: The Phanton X. She offers Defense Up, increased HP, Shield – basically everything you need to stay alive. As a result, she is designed for comfort allowing you to utilize your ideal team with her.
Just make sure to keep her skills leveled up and she’ll be able to stay alive in battle for a while.
Unit #7 – Morgana
Morgana is an excellent Sustain unit that does everything you want in a healer. He has a group heal that actually does a lot of healing while being able to proc his passive skill.
This passive gives him another instance of heal whenever an ally falls below 50% HP.
